“Anyone who comes to Avalon knows what luau Larry's is. You can feel it and you can hear it from far away. The music emanating from the bar, the club reveling partygoers and vacationers alike. All love this place and I learned that their food is awesome too! Both the swordfish burgers and lobster roll are both great. Specifically recommend the lobster roll
The drinks were good but more sweet than boozy if that's what you prefer.

“Some of the best food I have ever had. Clam chowder was creamy and good. Da bomb shrimp had great flavor and was cooked perfect. My wife commented that the sea bass was some of the best fish she had ever had. Our server was very personable and welcoming. Talked a bit and shared his recommendations for each dish to make it the best possible. This play is way better for quality and price than many of the other options on the island!”

“I used the Vons app today for a one hour delivery time frame via the Carlsbad, CA store. After the third-party member picked up the order and did not deliver for almost three hours, I requested a refund for the melted ice cream which I received promptly. I certainly did not expect to see this a couple of hours later: a refund for the entire purchase...thank you Vons for going above and beyond with your customer service!”

I love to grab breakfast here on the morning I plan to go back on the ferry.

This past trip I had chicken tenders when we came in as a day 0 type of thing and on our way out I had the e-bay (everything BEC bagel). I remember the service being really slow the last time we were on the island, with just 1 person working the register and 1 person in the kitchen, but this time they had at least double that and the service was quick, which was preferable.

“They have the best ahi nacho bowl I’ve ever had in my whole entire life! I usually don’t like tuna too but I would get it every time I come back (if I ever visit the Island again). Other than that, the service was a bit slow but the server’s attitude definitely made up for it. She was sweet and attentive! As for the atmosphere, I’m not a big fan of sitting outside to eat since I don’t like people walking by seeing me eat lol, so I do wish they have more indoor seating.”

“A nice spot for weekend brunch. We’ve been a couple times and have had a decent experience both times. Biscuits and gravy are very tasty. I think it’s a little pricey for what you get, but it’s not out of line from what you’ll find elsewhere on Catalina.

One of the more upscale restaurants on Catalina, so it’s great if you are looking for a nicer spot to sit down if you aren’t in a rush.”
