“Such good ice cream!! They had so many non-traditional flavors! I was surprised they had the superman flavor because that's popular in the Mid West and hard to find on the west coast. I ordered one scoop and it was basically 3 scoops so definitely worth the price. There were a lot of customers (as it was a sunny Saturday) but the staff were very efficient in getting your order, getting samples, scooping your ice cream & at the register. The vibes fit perfectly for the beach town. There was another ice cream place in Avalon that had a line out the door but I'm glad I went to Sailor's Delight. It was a tight space inside but that's okay because wouldn't you want to enjoy your ice cream outside on a sunny day looking over the water?! Again, great ice cream and I will definitely be going there to try other flavors the next time I make a trip to Catalina!“
“Best ice cream I've ever had! Homemade at its best. Their triple chocolate gelato is the best chocolate ice cream Ever! Hot fudge banana sundae was also very good. This is a must when visiting Catalina island. Conveniently located on crescent street next to all of the tourists shops.“
“The cashier was super nice and she greeted everyone when they walked in. They have a lot of various candies available but I was more interested in the ice cream and caramel apples. She was actually prepping prepackaged sourbelts but the moment I stepped up to the register she dropped what she was doing to assist with grabbing us ice cream and caramel apples, she cut them swiftly and she was so clean about it! She wore gloves the entire time when handling food items and replaced her gloves when grabbing cash or card. I appreciate the attention she gave. The only bummer was how dim everything was and the caramel melted off the apples quickly~“
“We just returned from a very nice trip from Two Harbors and had to get this review in asap. Russ and his entire staff were just exceptional, with each friend being willing and able to assist us with anything from making a double shot latte to shuttling us to the harbor multiple times during our stay. Our room was so peaceful and very comfortable, too! Specifically, the king sized bed was the most comfortable my wife and I have ever used in all of our adventures! We are very picky when it comes to our sleeping accommodations, and this bed provided a truly fantastic night's sleep for both of us! The breakfast that your staff provided was definitely a step up from your typical continental breakfast offerings, with your choice of fresh fruits, a variety of milks, bagels, toast, cereals, coffee, juices, meats and cheese, hard-boiled eggs...yes, it was that good! After our meal, we were able to enjoy numerous walks around the grounds throughout the day, enjoying the wildlife, scenic vistas of the two harbors and the beautiful weather, which included a brief summer rain shower during our stay.
