Scoops is a local creamery located on the main entrance strip of Avalon on Catalina Island. It’s a small business and local and we love supporting small businesses. We also were recommended it on our eco tour earlier throughout the day.They make all the flavors house made and definitely the cones / waffle cones. It’s a must when you get scoops or even one scoop. I had a waffle cone with a scoop of Nutella ice cream and one of the maple walnut and it was really good! Not spectacular, but good. Convenient location for a right-off-the-boat snack.

Went there tonight. It’s a Saturday. Still technically summer. And they close at 8pm?? There were three employees there - two gals and a guy. The gals had literally the worst attitudes I’ve ever seen. Yes, I get you want to close and go home. But my gosh, they were beyond rude. One came out to close the door and cut off the line, the other was behind the counter. Both scowled and didn’t speak. Like, imagine the worst facial expressions you could give customers.
