El Galleon Restaurant & Bar Reviews
The food is delicious! I had the 1/2 rack of ribs that were fall off the bone delish and my husband had the Prime rib sandwich. Soooo good! (& sorry no time to take photos as we dug in and couldn’t stop! Besides my fingers were full of finger licking good sauce!)
Had a great time, staff and bartenders are very friendly and I will definitely come back the next time coming out here to Catalina!! 😍

El Galleon Restaurant & Bar is a popular oceanfront spot in Avalon known for its great food, fast service, and cozy atmosphere. The restaurant offers a variety of fresh seafood dishes, with the scallop & clam chowder being a standout that many diners enjoyed so much they ordered their own. The food is consistently described as delicious, with crispy fish, tender seafood, and satisfying meals like fish & chips, baked potato, and Irish nachos. The nautical-themed decor gives the place a charming and vintage feel, especially in the upstairs area, creating a cozy environment. Guests appreciate the quick and attentive service, even when the restaurant is busy or large groups are present. The location is convenient, within walking distance from the harbor and plaza, making it an easy stop for visitors. While drinks are considered pricey, they are enjoyed and complemented by a full bar and multiple TVs, making it a good spot to hang out and watch football. The atmosphere varies from lively during special occasions like Cinco De Mayo to more relaxed, but always welcoming. Overall, El Galleon is valued for its quality food, friendly service, and inviting setting, making it a favorite destination where visitors often return, sometimes even making special trips just to dine there again.
