“I love this place! It's a local favorite for sure, but for those visitors wanting some great food, great drinks, outside in the beautiful Island air with salt of the earth people, find this hidden secret! Their Breakfast Tortilla Melt is my all-time FAVORITE breakfast taco ever! No joke! You'll love everything you get from this family resturaunt!“
“Glad we found this little place. We wanted some lunch before exploring and this was the first one that my wife noticed because she is vegetarian and they had a lot of options. The staff was super nice and we got to sit out in the sun on a beautiful day. The prices were as expected and the food was really good. Come check it out if your a vegetarian or not. I'm sure they will have something you will like.“
“Cute spot with good fresh food. It was a little pricey but everything on the island is. I loved their Pina colada and sweet potato fries. I thought the veggie panini was a bit bland. The girls were super helpful in helping us navigate gluten free options (my fiancé is celiac).“
“Marjorie, our server, was one of the best servers I've had...EVER. She was easy-going, friendly, flexible, attentive to both adults and kids. She made great suggestions for the food and drink. Can't wait to go back there on my next visit to Catalina Island.Kid-friendliness: Our server checked in with us before letting the kids order sodas and other un-healthy choices...I love that! Although this restaurant gives the upscale vibe, I thought my kids were treated great and most welcome to be there!“
“My spouse and I decided to stop here for breakfast after our hour and a half boat ride on the Catalina Flyer around 10am. Food was fantastic. Definitely hit the spot after not eating all morning. Everything tasted fresh and made to order. However, the service was not so great. We felt very rushed and not personable. We were also shoved into a corner in a room that was very warm with no fresh air. And lastly, the price was a little too high for the quality of the experience. Otherwise, we would dine here again.“
“Service was great , we were seated promptly without a reservation. The firecracker shrimp was delicious! Nicer seasoned with great flavors. The salmon was a great portion size along with the mashed potatoes, would have liked more broccoli but that’s my only negative criticism. The steak was cook really well, juicy ,succulent, and buttery taste. The piña colada had great balance of rum and coconut mix. Also everything was nicely priced for portions and taste.“
“We went to this place as soon as we arrived in Avalon, they were super quick with our food because we had a bottom boat excursion. We loved the food. Super tasty, the fish tacos and nachos. However, I felt the price a tad too high for my liking I do understand it’s dining on an Island. 3 fish tacos, chorizo burrito, grilled cheese, nachos, and 3 orange juices 62$.“
“Such good ice cream!! They had so many non-traditional flavors! I was surprised they had the superman flavor because that's popular in the Mid West and hard to find on the west coast. I ordered one scoop and it was basically 3 scoops so definitely worth the price. There were a lot of customers (as it was a sunny Saturday) but the staff were very efficient in getting your order, getting samples, scooping your ice cream & at the register. The vibes fit perfectly for the beach town. There was another ice cream place in Avalon that had a line out the door but I'm glad I went to Sailor's Delight. It was a tight space inside but that's okay because wouldn't you want to enjoy your ice cream outside on a sunny day looking over the water?! Again, great ice cream and I will definitely be going there to try other flavors the next time I make a trip to Catalina!“
