Located at the end of the pier, Avalon Seafood & Fish Market offers a nice view with plenty of seating. The service is fast and self-clean up. The $17 fish and chips may be disappointing compared to other nearby restaurants with better quality at a similar price. Despite not being the most authentic, the food is considered okay, especially for the island. The breading on the fish is light and not heavily breaded like most US fish and chips. The rectangular fish stick-like pieces still offer a good amount of fish. With plenty of malt vinegar and salt available, this place stands out for its good pricing on both food and beer, making it a great deal for visitors to Catalina Island.
