The food was ok...hot and fresh. Average taste Service was subpar. Long wait when not busy and failure to offer additional drinks. Oh, and had to BUY water bottle. They did not provide water. That should have been my first sign ‍

Fantastic dining experience from the greeting to the food. Drinks were smooth and we had the Clam chowder which is amazing was the star of the show for me. I also wanted to try the shrimp and it was full of flavor, bite size and delicious. We split the hickory burger and so glad we did. The burger was very good and full of flavor. The restaurant is huge with so many sections. Our booth was comfortable and clean and the staff was on point with checking in, picking up dishes and making sure we had what we needed. This will be our spot every visit.

I ordered the shrimp tacos and their alcoholic drink, pain killer. The tacos were delicious. I will definitely be returning to try something else in their menu. They also have karaoke in the evening. Extremely fun!

Good view good food, prime rib was a bit pricey for the quality but was still good. Asked for medium rare but was cooked more like medium, the tacos were great, very saucy, kinda spicy, and shrimp was good, I asked for it grilled. Also got clam chowder which was advertised at scallops and clams but I only saw and tasted the clams. Still very thick and creamy broth tho 10/10 for the chowder

Very much enjoyed my experience at El Galleon! We arrived at this restaurant 20 minutes before closing due to our ferry being delayed, and they were gracious in welcoming us in and sitting us immediately. We ordered the grilled artichoke, clam chowder, and fried chicken sandwich. Our server was very attentive, and when our clam chowder did not come out, he made sure to acknowledge my ordering it and brought it out within the next 5 minutes. The clam chowder and grilled artichoke had great flavor and we really enjoyed eating. The fried chicken sandwich was more underwhelming, we both wished it had more flavor and the chicken was juicer. I also wished the restaurant and bathrooms were a little cleaner, but I understand that it was the end of the night. Ultimately, had a great meal with great server at El Galleon and would return!

The wind blew in the door and kept me chilled as I sat at the bar. The calamari was the best I have ever had. The cioppino is not worth the hype. This is NOT the best restaurant on the island. Steve's Steakhouse is better, but this will do.

Really good dinner spot. Has a solid Prime rib, highly recommend getting that. Good seafood and fresh grilled fish. Clam Chowder was also really good. Best dinner in Avalon available.

Ambience was great with sports TV and music. We order the caesar salad and a 20 oz prime rib to share. Everything was delicious, well seasoned, and had great portions. They also have a larger variety of dishes to choose from and a full bar. Our server Natalie was wonderful and attentive along with other servers checking in on us frequently. Overall great experience and will be back!

Fantastic meal. Prime rib was excellent and reasonably priced. It was a slow night so I was a little surprised at the service. They were a little less attentive than expected. The meal made up for it and I would recommend it for a nice meal.

Food is absolutely amazing! Loved the fish tacos. Husband had swordfish and he said it was delicious!

My husband and I ate at this restaurant for the first time in February 2023. When we went to Catalina in December 2023 with our extended family, we raved about how great this restaurant is. We were very disappointed to have subpar service, our table was so sticky the menus were sticking to it, my daughter almost spilled her drink sliding it to me because it stuck to the table. The food was okay but nothing like the first time we were there. I was extremely frustrated when our bill came and the waitress decided to hand write herself in a 22% tip. Leaving the restaurant I picked up a menu and nowhere did it say there is automatic gratuity for large parties. It was posted no where in the restaurant. I asked the hostess about it and she said that an 18% gratuity is automatically added for parties of 6 or more. I'm not positive why our waitress felt it was okay to add a 22% tip. Needless to say, we will not recommend this place and we will find a new lunch stop when we are in Catalina. Very disappointed.

If you are looking for fresh seafood this is not the place! Terrible sea food at expensive prices. I don't mind paying good money if the food is worth it, but found this was not the case. Never coming here again when I visit Avalon.
