I would highly recommend Bluewater Avalon Seafood restaurant. The seafood was fresh and flavorful. My fiancé and I dined for his 60th birthday and were treated very respectfully and with gracious kindness. The swordfish was recommended by our waitress Betty. And she was right it was absolutely delicious! My fiancé chose the salmon and it was made just the way he likes it! She even went out of her way to make his birthday special with a special birthday treat at the end of our meal! Thank you!
Had reservation, but restaurant still made us wait in a long line to check-in for reservation. Even after check-in had to wait another 30 mins for table. Beautiful views, and adequate service overall.
The cocktails were fabulous! Food was delicious. But the location was the best part! Excellent views. Staff was also very attentive. Overall, a great experience.
Food was tepid, service was slow and inattentive (almost indifferent), and the place was not crowded. Nice view but that's it.
Lovely atmosphere, great service. The food was ok. The poke while tasty a small portion. The coup of chowder also small. The starter bread was very tasty. $48 later no alcohol and still hungry.

Great food, pleasant surprise! Service was fabulous and we dined outside next to the water.
The place is nice, especially if you get a table by the water. Location is central and convenient. Food was ok, not great. Friendly service but our food took awhile to come out during lunch when the place wasn't very busy. Overpriced - $80 for lunch for 2 (fish tacos and grilled fish lunch, no appetizer, 2 bottles of water at $1.50 each, tip and tax)... but this is a tourist place so I expected the price to be high. 2 stars for food and price, 4 stars for ambiance and service.

We had no wait, got to sit on the patio right on the ocean, the service was quick and friendly. We got a sea food platter that was delicious. The sourdough was 10/10!

Fish focused but a variety of options that were all delicious. View can't be beat. Service was great too. Must stop lunch spot when you are in Catalina.

Good food, although out of mussels! Great setting! Pricey, but well prepared. Sat outside next to heater, but out of propane for heater so we froze a bit. Overworked server forgot literally everything we asked for, no apologies.
The service was excellent! Through the meal they ensured we had everything we needed and kept the warm and delicious bread coming.
Listen the food is incredible and service is fast and attentive, thank you! My only kind of major gripe is, that for off season chilly weather, the interior of the restaurant was freezing to the point of ordering hot water instead of tap water and wearing all our coats and beanies we brought. We overheard another guest asking for the restaurant to be closed to the outdoors but the wait staff couldn’t do anything. If I’m paying close to $50 for a meal I don’t want to be shivering. Other than that it was great food.

Most cocktails run $15 and up and they are small. Take note that they do not accept cash. My fiancee and I found this out after we already ordered our drinks. We had to find a local resident to pay for our drinks on their card and we gave him the cash but what a headache that was. The bartender frowned upon what a hassle it would've been for him to go handle a cash transaction at a different location. We did not see any no cash accepted signs where we sat at the bar but found out later there is a small sign in the restaurant somewhere. We did not order any food at this time as it was Halloween night and they had a DJ with loud music which is what drew us in from the street but the Tuscan Seared Tuna Salad is delicious.
