Food was nothing special. The bartender could careless about his customers. He took the order and when it came out wrong, he could care less. We asked him to check on our order a few times after paying and tipping, we waited 45 minutes almost for a uneventf fish sandwich. Service was under par for other places we’d tried. Best thing about this place is being beachside.

We had an amazing time at the Descano Beach Club. We got one of the cabanas and the view was amazing. Justus was our server and he was great! Being a local, he was able to give us recommendations, and he was super attentive.

We rented loungers on the beach was well worth the cost drinks were great Food looked good but we didn’t eat unfortunately but from what we saw the quantity was well worth the price
Legitimately some of the worst food on Catalina Island. For the price, I would expect the lettuce that was provided for me to assemble my own chicken wraps would be washed. Chicken was borderline inedible, tasted like dog food. Wings were frozen and tasted like cardboard. Told them my boyfriend was severely allergic to nuts and they served him the walnut dressing anyways. 0/10.

We had a good time. We had a discount through our hotel. It's a nice beach and it's convenient to have a bar close by. We didn't realize how soon the opportunity to rent chaise longues for the day would close, so if you don't want to sit on the sand, get there early enough to reserve a spot.

Had a great birthday day trip to Avalon-Catalina Island, Descanso Beach Club is a must visit- a cozy small beach that you can do swimming, Kayaking, snorkeling, or just relaxing in a tropical setting. Bring your own beach chairs or rent a cabana. Good choices on drinks, foods. Clean restrooms and onsite showers.
