Once you spend your money in this store you understand why the no samples policy. If you taste it before you buy it the store would go out of business. The candy is stale and tasteless. Probably the worst spent $45 in candy of my life. The kicker? I asked for 2 different flavored Ice-cream cones, they made a mistake and put 2 scoops in one cone. When I said "no, I wanted 2 different Ice-cream cones" they proceeded to try and separate the 2 scoops to put them on 2 separate cones. I was like woah, no! Just forget it. And because they had mutilated my Ice-cream they put the cone in a very flimsy shallow dish that I can't imagine what it could be for. We ate the Ice-cream that was bland compared to good Ice-cream (I'm an expert) and the candy? We all tasted one of the pieces of each of the little bags and the rest ended up in the garbage. Even the fudge was old and dry. Worst candy of my life. I feel like I got robbed ?

This server was working at the ice cream station and was incredibily rude. She does not like her job and talks to the customers with disrespect.
She needs to be re-trained on how to talk to customers and if she doesn't like her job not to take it out on the customers and to just quit.

This place is messed up. We waited in line to get coffee at their outside ordering station, the lady took two orders in front of us, and then told us we needed to go inside cuz the window was closed (when it obviously wasn’t). I then overhead her tell the gentleman behind me that the window is “for VIP’s only). This isn’t how you treat a potential customer. Didn’t even bother giving this place my business.

Overpriced ice cream and coffee but normal for California these days. If you come in on the cruise ship save your money and spend it onboard.

Hands down, the best coffee in Avalon. I'll admit I'm a bit of a coffee snob, and now being pregnant I've taken my coffee to half-calf, which can be difficult to get right. I went to 3 other places serving coffee and all fell short. Thankfully on our last day we went here and the person taking my order was also very patient with me (I took forever?). On top of everything, the pastries were all equally delicious. Light and fluffy with just the right amount of sweetness. Thank you Lloyd's!

I recently visited Lloyds of Avalon, and it was fantastic. The location on the promenade is great, providing an amazing view. The selection of candy is impressive, with something for everyone. We also enjoyed the food, especially the fudge and ice cream. The combination of the beautiful view, delicious treats, and great location made it a memorable visit. I highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.
The manager needs to reassess how customers should be treated.
