We arrived and the hostess walked ahead of us to our table and without saying anything set 2 of 3 menus down on a table and walked away - we were unclear if we were even at the right table - we had to ask if this was our table to which she stated yes from across the room - she then comes back and instead of one additional menu, has an entire arm full and tells me to take one - we waited for our server who eventually came and took our order but then did not return to check on us or the food, we had to request the check from another server - it was disappointing to say the least.

We had a lovely Thanksgiving dinner with good food and good atmosphere. We enjoyed it very much!

We were in town for Thanksgiving! Everything was perfect! So nice when out of town for holidays

Worst meal we had in a long time. We ordered the Pasta Bolognese and the plate was a “soup” of bolognese sauce with a “bit” of pasta that it was hard to find. Terrible food, terrible service and the place looks cheap.

More care could be taken in the food prep: shrimp cocktail was rubbery and the chips for our spinach dip were stale and tough. The chicken breast was small and didn't match the price point. But the options are limited for a nice date night and fine enough.

We sat on the front patio.... the setting was lovely, enhanced by background music. An excellent selection of authentic Italian food. The servers were very friendly and helpful and the food was terrific. It also was not as "jam packed" as other places so we enjoyed the quieter setting.

Stopped by pretty close to closing time and Ruben was very accommodating. Service was friendly, professional, and unrushed. The Chicken parmesan and lasagna were both delicious & the cocktails were on point. He even took care of us with a free hazelnut torte for my girlfriend's birthday. Highly recommend stopping in here when you find yourself on Catalina!

I communicated in the OpenTable reservation that we were celebrating my wife's birthday and also mentioned it to the hostess when we arrived. Our server did nothing to acknowledge her birthday. On top of that, my wife got really sick a couple hours after eating the chicken fettuccini alfredo. My lasagna was good, not great, the spaghetti bolognese our friends ordered was great. Cocktails were great. Main dishes at M do not come with a side salad, bread, or anything other than the dish itself. Ambience was nice. Overall, a disappointing night. Would not return or recommend.

Five of us went to dinner and everyone ordered a different pasta entree. Without exception, each person enjoyed every bite!! My pesto and scallops dish was creamy and perfectly seasoned. We will definitely return on our next visit to Catalina Island.

I Went for a morning breakfast and the mimosa platter with my wife. We had a great time and island is a incredible vibe.

Bartender Ruben sr made a perfect martini to start our experience. Followed by his son Ruben Jr waiting on us for the evening. Ruben Jr was attentive and there when we needed him and respectful of our dinner conversation. The clam chowder in bread was perfect and the bread bowl was toasted to perfection. My wife ordered the onion soup and the size was large enough to be a meal. We split a plate of Bolenese that could have come from Italy, carrots done right. We have missed the former Italian resturant Portofino since it closed, but we have found the perfect Italian replacements in M's.

We chose M restaurant for our first dinner on Catalina Island. The food was excellent, the manicotti was my favorite! The service was great and the atmosphere is very romantic. Highly recommend.

Was exciting to try this restaurant for a birthday celebration as boaters we are frequent visitors to the island. We arrived for our reservation 15 minutes early and were told to stand by the entrance podium as we were the first people to arrive as the restaurant doesn't open until 5 pm. Understandably they were rushing around to open. When they opened the hostess decided not to seat us and the people behind us that had reservations, but a group of 4 that did not have reservations. Even those folks felt weird and did not know why she did that and told us so. Other than that, I would say our waitress was very good and friendly and food was a solid 4 stars. We had the burrata which was good, but not great (could have used a bit more tomatoes and seasoning). The Pesto Scallop Linguine was excellent and my Italian husband really enjoyed the lasagne. They have a pretty good menu of wine and champagne which we had as well. Without the hostess situation it would have been a great experience. Oh, and they don't recognize special occasions, so if you're expecting that, go somewhere else.
