Coming for our 50th wedding anniversary on 9/13. Can’t wait!

September 6, my two daughters and granddaughter wanted a very nice restaurant to celebrate three very special events. We arrived about 5:20 pm, early for dinner. We were seated and given menus and asked almost immediately what we wanted to eat and drink. Ok, please give us a moment. Jose, our waiter, returned and verbally gave us the nights specials, one being a Tomahawk Steak for two. Great, that’s what they wanted, medium rare.
He then asked each of my daughters if they wanted rice, baked potatoes or broccolini. Each chose a potato. I ordered a ribeye steak rare, plus Calamari strips for an appetizer. The Calimari appetizer was awful, very chewy and undercooked. My ribeye came, perfect. Oh, at no time did the server try to make more space for the bread plates or salad plates. We waited for the Tomahawk steak which was not served at the same time as my steak. When the Tomahawk steak arrived the waiter advised my daughter the plate was hot as he handed it to her.!!!!! It was hot and she commented to him, no response. My daughters looked at the over done steak and let Jose know, he started to argue but took the steak away, that left my daughters to split one baked potatoes. Why tell us it was a Tomahawk for two and ask each person what side they wanted. Rediculous . No apologies ever, it Jose did come back and tell us that Tomahawk was for another table.
Wait, wait, and wait, when the second Tomahawk did arrive there was nothing g medium about it.
The same server I earlier asked where the ladies room is, looked to be drunk later as he swerved to serve food.
We decided not to make a scene. I paid over $300.00 plus a small tip.
I will be returning to Catalina but NEVER this restaurant.

Everything was top notch. Great service, the food and drinks came out quick. The staff was very attentive. The food was delicious. Highly recommend Steve’s, it far exceeded my expectations and was the perfect ‘nice’ dinner for our trip to Avalon.

Amazing fish and appetizers. Steak was good. Would skip the margaritas but the espresso martinis were fire.

We were lucky enough to get a table overlooking the street! It was so beautiful and a great end to a perfect birthday weekend for me! The food was AMAZING! I wish they used real lemon juice in their lemon drop martinis, but it was still very tasty! Joey our server was very nice and efficient! The food was PIPING hot when it came out and the crème brule was excellent! Wonderful meal!

Johnnie Q gave great service. Cocktails were on point will be back again. Rode our jet ski from Redondo to Catalina so was hungry and food was perfect 10/10 would recommend to family and friends

Steve’s Steakhouse exceeded all our expectations! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by Steve himself, who made us feel like family. The ambiance was cozy yet upscale, perfect for a night out. Our server, Jonny, was absolutely amazing—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. He made fantastic recommendations, and everything he suggested was spot-on. The steak was cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The sides were equally impressive, especially the garlic mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. You can tell this place takes pride in every detail, from the food to the service. Steve even stopped by our table to check in, which added a personal touch you don’t get everywhere. It’s rare to find a place where both the food and the service are equally outstanding, but Steve’s Steakhouse nails it. We’ll definitely be back soon. Highly recommended!

Steak was actually phenomenal, best steak I’ve had in California yet. Close to a Texas steak for sure. Calamari was a little weird with the sauce on it, haven’t seen it like that before. The Kobe beef burger was very good for the $. I would recommend them, and I would go back.

We have eaten at Steve’s Steakhouse the last 2 nights. We brought our fresh fish catch last night and they cooked it 3 different ways. All excellent! Tonight we came back for Ribeyes and Baked Potatoes!!! Logan Rehm Says So Darn Good!!!!

Visited again for the 3rd time and this restaurant never dissapoints. FOOD was Great . DRINKS where awesome. JOHNNY was our host for the night and made everything Great from start to Finish for our late night party of 7. Gave our kids and teens a variety of options and made sure they got something they will be able to eat and enjoy. definitely will be coming back in our next visit .
