the only thing good was the Buffalo Milk drink I had from the bar, my daughters took me to The Cove for my 75th birthday on June 27th, my daughter & I had the Maui, it was HORRIBLE, no taste, no sauce ,dry, 3 bites didn't finish,tasted like cooked in microwave, 4 little thinly slices of potato, some kind of vegetable, never got my clam chowder, my 2 other daughters ordered the Hanger steak, it arrived already cut up like it was meant for a taco, , one was to have been medium rare, arrived WELL DONE & had gristle on it. Our dinner was HORRIBLE, we have told everyone NOT to go the The Cove on Catalina, to get to the restaurant I thought we were walking to the service entrance. My daughters were so upset, the reviews they read said your place was wonderful, but when you have to seat yourself, waitress brings silverware out in a cup, PLEASE. My birthday dinner was horrible. I was staying on property during the off season and had low expectations. I figured I'd grab a drink here befote heading down to town to bar hop. Massive shout out to the bartend/waitress Elizabeth for making some of the best cocktails I've had in a while. The service was excellent, the attention to detail was solid, and I felt very welcomed. Kudos!

We asked for vegetarian appetizers but were served buffalo wings.We recieved potatoes instead, but they were frozen solid inside.Thankfully, we recieved compensation guacamole but it was just ok.They were out of Chile relleno.The only waitress seemed more interested in serving the people at the bar up until they left.

We arrived at 3:45 and our room was not ready until 7:35. Once we got into the room, we noticed the bathroom had mildew and mold on the base boards and the grout. The bathroom sink faucets were old and had corrosion. The towels were very poor quality. The phone had a blinking light that would not stop blinking even though there were no messages. The only thing worse than the hotel was the customer service. the front desk was not helpful and at times just plain rude. We asked for a let checkout and thought they might give it to us since they did not have a room ready for us when we checked in and they said no with no reason given. It was clear they did not have a lot of people checking in the next day. Overall this was a terrible experience and I would not recommend this place to anyone. I am guessing I will get some sort of auto reply to this review telling us how they are sorry but we did not hear the word sorry one time when we were checked in late. I am guessing they have no protocol to make their staff better so this will ultimately fall on deaf ears.

I understand you cannot afford everyone a late checkout, but I have never been to a hotel that won't hold luggage. I had also offered to pay for a 1/2 day and your staff couldn't accommodate me. I was told to go online and book another night, which I did. When I went back to the front desk to let them know, they told me I would have to check in and check out again because they couldn't just extend my days, very odd. Several parents were there and were not able to check in until 7:00 pm when it clearly states your check-in time is 4:00 pm. When they asked for a late check out the next day they were to now. The right move for your hotel would have been to tack on the 3 hours you shorted them the night before and let them check out at 2:00 pm the next day. - Very poor customer service. Also, we had a phone blinking a light and when I called to get my messages, they said there were no messages, the phones were new and they didn't know how to stop the light from blinking. If it bothered me I should just unplug the phone. Towels feel like sandpaper. Coffee machine in the room didn't work and I would say they are re-filling the body wash and shampoo bottles with something other than the brand that is displayed.

Terrible experience, terrible customer service, never had something like that, the front desk personal was very awful, I came with my aunt, she has 79 years old And they treated us like garbage! I will Never come back here. Please remove this hotel from Expedia options. I talked with Nicole, she is the manager, and same thing! She treated me like nothing important Ugh!
