We had high hopes for The Lobster Trap based on the location and ambiance, but unfortunately, the food just didn’t deliver. I ordered the tacos, and they were honestly disappointing, they tasted like they might have come from frozen stock rather than being freshly prepared. Everything was served on plastic plates with plastic cups, which only added to the underwhelming feel of the meal.

Enjoyed the food here in Avalon. The local blackened bass entree with baked potato and veggies was a healthy and flavorful meal that sat well with me. Jesse was a great server and when a mistake was made, he made up for it. Would come back here if I was in Avalon.

The food was soooo good! We had shrimp scampi and mahi with mango sauce. They have a lot of gluten free options!

We walked in and were sat at the bar (couple) but they have big tables for groups.
