If you are visiting Avila Beach it’s a must to put Hula Hut on your list to stop for a delicious hand scooped ice cream! Your choice of cup, sugar cone, or waffle cone! The line can look long but the scoopers are fast and the wait is short! The store also has a huge variety of fun things to shop for from wind chimes to kitchen towels and much much more! I had a bad experience at this store (Hula Hut) in Avila Beach yesterday when we dropped in to get ice cream. We heeded the sign on the door to wear masks. The three young people in front of us were NOT wearing masks. I pointed it out to the owner behind the counter. His hostile response was "I'm not the mask police! I'm not going to enforce it. Visitors and locals - please let Hula Hut know of your concerns regarding their use of Polystyrene Foam. You do care about the environment and non-recycled trash to the beach and ocean, death to birds, plus the release of Styrene into your system, when it is in contact with hot, oily or acidic food.
