Azucanela Churros & Coffee - Azusa

Steve (the owner) served us tonight. Wow, I’d say coming back for the service alone…. But I can’t say that cause the coffee was so amazing too! So.. coming back for both!!!! Steve met us with excitement and a smile. He obviously loves what he does. He let us sample anything we wanted. The sample of the Cafe de Olla was insane! I got the in house made mazapan but in a hot latte and omg. AMAZING. My husband got the churros and loved them (we are very picky with our churros). We live far away but when we are back in town… we will be back. Great food/coffee items, amazing service. Thank you for your hospitality!!

Great food! Great service!! Ypu have to try the Frambuesa dipping sauce, I could put that on everything!! The drinks are high quality and cheaper than starbucks or coffee bean! Definitely worth the trip!!

I love coming here with my family. All the workers are great! Steve is awesome he treats you like you known each other for years. Jason is one cool cat that shakes your hand when you see him, Paola is such a sweetheart.
The churros are delicious, the atmosphere is really laid back. There are times when I am having my drink no one comes in you dont feel rushed its more of a comfort level.
There are couches plenty of sitting room with tables.
On occasion a long hair kid comes in and jams on his guitar...
I recommend churro traditional and a cajeta cappuccino. But if you really want something yummy try the churro donut it comes with 2 scoops of ice cream mixed berries drizzled with chocolate sauce.

Good spot! Traditional Churros were amongst the best. Espresso was decent, but at $2.50 no complaints here. Good vibe, played Snarky Puppy which is always a good choice. Made my crappy day better. 🫶🏼

Stopped by for the first time tonight with my wife. The cashier was SO ENERGETIC and enthusiastic. The churro sundae and the café olla (the horchata and coffee mix) was amazing and complex. Happy this is such a close by place, will be coming back more.

Very friendly, great energy, very quality. Happy to hear it's all produced in house, you can tell—the whipped cream for example is sweet and light and fresh. They have specialty cafe de olla, and an option of that mixed with their house horchata that's really good. There's lots of seating, outdoors too, and even jumbo jenga. Just seems like a really nice place.

Azcanuela is hands down one of the best-kept secrets in Azusa! Every time I walk through the door, I’m greeted with such warmth and friendliness — the atmosphere feels like home. Stephen always goes above and beyond with outstanding customer service, and you can tell he genuinely cares about every guest.

If you haven’t tried their Horchata-style coffee, you’re missing out — it’s absolutely incredible and easily one of the best drinks I’ve ever had. It keeps me coming back time and time again!

What really makes this place stand out is the amazing coupon offer in Stater Bros — buy a coffee and get free churros! You seriously can’t beat that deal.

I don’t usually take the time to write reviews, but Azcanuela truly deserves it — 5 stars across the board for taste, service, and atmosphere. Do yourself a favor and check this place out — you’ll be hooked after your first visit!

I felt like welcomed. I didn’t know what to order and they offered samples. The horchata and mazapanis is delicious. We ordered the churros and they were amazing. Crunchy outside and super soft inside. Very well worth the price.

I really wanted to like this place the outside is super cute and the inside is cozy as well. Unfortunately, the drinks and service left me disappointed.

I ordered a 16 oz ($9.00 + tip) pistachio frappé, but it tasted like plain milk with a very faint pistachio flavor and no coffee at all. My friend had the same issue with her mazapán frappé. She asked if they could fix hers, and the barista adjusted it, but when I asked if I had the right drink (since it didn’t taste like coffee), he said yes and even mentioned that he had tasted my drink while making it and thought it was “sweet.” He also commented that he added twice as much flavoring to my friend’s drink and implied the problem was just our taste.

I left feeling a bit scolded instead of helped. He never offered to fix my drink, and overall the customer service was disappointing. Cute shop, but not worth it for me.

The owner was so kind! I told her it was my first time going to the shop. I love sweet coffee. I ordered an iced cafe de olla with three pumps of Hazelnut. So delicious! I got the large 20 oz and wanted more😄

The churros here are actually warm, fresh and delicious. Coffee here is moderately great. Like some of the other reviews, they do have board games and even Jenga. Place is actually cozy and inviting. I do tend to see students from APU study here or even hang out with friends.
