I travel from Los Angeles to Covina only to eat at La Parrillada de Covina. Best dood ever, everything is so delicious. We celebrated my son and my sisters birthday and it was very fun. The staff is so attentive, Awesome and friendly. You won’t be disappointed

They’re open early 8am when I get of work. It’s hard to find Mexican restaurant that sells cocido that early in the morning. 🤩

I WISH I CAN GIVE IT A 5 STAR BASED SOLELY ON SERVICE AND TASTE BUT I HAVE TO INCLUDE A COUPLE OF MORE THING, LIKE COST (WHICH WAS PRICEY) COMPARED TO THE AMOUNT OF FOOD YOU GET AND ALTHOUGH THE RESTAURANT HAS A/C, THE AREA WHERE THEY HAD US (13 OF US) DID NOT. SO TO SUM IT UP, THE STAFF WAS FRIENDLY AND AMASING, THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS, BUT UNFORTUNATELY BECAUSE THERE WAS NO CONSISTENT A/C (NON IN THE RESTROOMS EITHER) AND BECAUSE THE FOOD WAS TOO PRICEY AND NOT ENOUGH ON PLATE WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING

I came here before and the ladies that work their is all fake and dishonest. She knows it and yet they act like honest religious people.
They pick and choose to scam. Pay attention when you go there. If you dare. I ordered the Costillas de Puerto with Nepalese. Serving was for a child and all bones with red rice and bean smothered across the plate to make it look like a lot. That was over $27.00. Happy hour margaritas and beer. My mother inlaw had one and that was $21. I had 2 beers that suppose to be $5.00 tried to charge me $7.. the rest was a tea and dr. Pepper. Also 2 taquito plates. Total bill was $170. Wow. If it wasn't for my wife calming me down on these BS prices, I would of went off them. Instead wife suggested to just do a post, so others are aware. I should of just went to my spot Guadalupes on Gladstone and Lark Allen. Look it up. Will never go to this place that my mother inlaw recommend. Its trash and they are scammers.Don't get sucked in to their business of manipulation. You'll end up pay a ridiculously bill. Will have weights and measures pay them a visit. See something wrong say something. Yes, inflation, cost i know. BJs is also one of my spots also and taking my family and didn't spend that much and we drank more after our meals.
So BEWARE and

I came only because the place where we originally go to Guadalupe restaurant had a private event.sadly I won’t be coming back to this restaurant Price for pata which the plate was nothing but bones as you can see below price $7.99 menudo $17.99 alone
We also added huevos rancheros $17.99

Great food
Absolutely one of the best authentic Mexican food in LA. We dined here first time and were so excited to have found this gem.
Easy parking, good size restaurant even if you have big party.
I'm very familiar with Mexican food and been to many restaurants, large and small and this one feels just right. Small town restaurant but taste like a gourmet high class place. We tried the pozole and the pork ribs with cactus. Both were out of this world! Very tasty, very good portion. Not too large where you can't finish and have to pack to go. The pozole was cooked to perfection. The pork ribs just melts in your mouth, it went very well with cactus and the sauce.
Their cocktails are just as fantastic.
Service was like family style. Nothing too fancy but very attentive.
You must try it. You won't be disappointed.
