One thing I don’t like that is every time I eat here I feel groggy. Or I get a little heart burn. So if you have any issues maybe order the chicken

Food to expensive, 2 ribs and 1 biscuit $20...won't come back here...$1.50 to use debit card. Store-bought rolls, look at photo....Do you see these ribs?, do you see any meat on the bones? this is how it came.. this place is a rip-off.

MUST GO!!!! One of the best restaurants ive been to in a while fresh, delicious, and affordable, took my family there based of there reviews and we where not disappointed at all, the chicken falls of the bone everytime and the rice and gravy is so delicious you could honestly eat it as its own dish and dont forget about the RIBS!!! So delicious amazing flavor huge portions and so tender, im definitely going to be a regular at this spot. Worth every penny Definitely give them a try and you'll see what im talking about.

This nostalgic restaurant once was on Alosta with other family members who ran that location for decades. When they closed my family was at a loss with all the memories of family we dined with growing up.
When I found the Azusa location I was ecstatic, I literally saw the picture of their food and recognized it immediately for Love Chicken & Rib.
Very small location and far for me to drive and was still able to make it there for closing time from work. When I saw that the location was closed, I was very sad again, and then driving to a job. I came across their new location on Sunset. Again I was over the moon that they were back and were able to acquire a deli type location which provided a beautiful setup for a new restaurant.
As stated with many posts, everything is great, coleslaw is made in small batches making it just home cooked quality.
I’ve seen some mention the fact that the ribs are pre-cooked, if they knew the history the first restaurant had a drive-through with a line of five all the time to pick up chicken and ribs. Obviously the ribs would need to be pre-cooked to be able to accommodate such demand.
The owner has a family with sons so I always call before. Make sure they’re open because life is unpredictable with young children.
I can’t say enough for how much I love this restaurant and its food and all the memories from when I was a child in the early 90’s at the Alosta location.

I spent $25 on a lunch entree ask for extra gravy and was asked for $3.50 for the extra gravy. I was willing to pay a dollar the most a dollar fifty but at $3.50 I had to draw the line.. thought he was being excessive and didn't like how he came off about it. Gravy nazi

No fountain refillable drinks. It’s only for display. The crew lies and says that the fountain drinks will be repaired in the next 3 days but no it’s not. They only offer in can, bottled water. Stingy to spare money for repair. They will not give even if you ask for ice in cup. The beef ribs is not that good. Place has no customer courtesy. The 8pm store closing schedule posted online is not true they close at 7pm. You need to beg to stay and it if you got here 10 mins. before 7pm. Frustrating, not so friendly.

Since I was in the area (well, it turned out I really wasn't, cuz I ended up driving 25min out of the way!), I wanted to make a stop to @lovechickenandribs!!
Every time I go to the area, I rave about how back in the day, old friends and I would eat at their original location across from APU!! Of course it was much cheaper then, but it's still as much a bargain today as it was back then! And the amazing great flavors are still there and nostalgic as ever!!
NOTE: Come check them out SOON, as they will only be at their current location until September (new building mgmt) and are currently looking for a new location!

Always a pleasure eating from this place the beef bbq ribs are amazing looking forward and eating here again soon I was sadden when they closed down the original spot in front of APU now their even closer to me will absolutely visit them more frequent for the beef bbq ribs
