Very happy with our lunch meal. I highly recommend the brisket. Space is small so outdoor seating is your best option if the weather is good.

The food here is superb. Great brisket, great tri-tip, great sides, and great sauces. My only reason for removing two stars from this review is the rudeness of their cashier. She always has a bad attitude and makes me feel unwelcome and unappreciated as a customer. In speaking with other friends who have gone there, they've had the same experience. She was wearing a "Beatles" shirt today, but I'm sure when the owner reads this he'll know exactly who I'm talking about. And maybe she's co-owner, but she is not fit for her current role.

Disappointed! Our office decided they wanted BBQ for lunch today and decided to go with Angry Barnyard over our usual Prime Time BBQ. I ordered the Big Hoss Sandwich. What I received is not what is advertised on their website. I have never seen chopped brisket on a sandwich before. Brisket was flavorless and dry!!!

The brisket is really tender, juicy and has the right amount of seasoning. Same with the chicken. I thought the chicken was going to be dry by the looks of it, but I was wrong. It was perfect. The potato salad was delicious. It tastes like they put a lot of boiled eggs in it, which I like. The Mac n cheese was good, but nothing special. It was good, though. I wanted fried okra, but they were out. The cashier could be friendlier. It seems like she feels bothered when you ask her for anything. Anyhow, I do recommend this place, especially the brisket. One caution: the Southern Comfort Plate says "Starting at $16.95" I ordered three different combos none of them were $16.95. All of them were $19.95. I'm guessing because of the brisket. I'm not sure.

The cashier has bad energy and horrible customer service. They are always out of something. The prices are inconsistent with whats on the website. Extremely overpriced. They need to follow a prep list to ensure that they have items listed on the menu. Get rid of the cashier, announce it and the people who she ran off may return. Food is decent.
I arrived about 5 minutes b4 they opened and was allowed in. That was cool. A bit pricey but worth it. Got 3 plates to go and didnt take them no time to complete my order. These plates were HEFTY and good. IDK, they might be giving PORKCHOPS & BUBBA bbq spot a run for their money. Im just say'n.

Best ribs in...everywhere! Portions are huge, not too fond of the chicken but this is one of my favorite places to eat and dine in. Pies are homemade and delicious. Overall this place rocks!!

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat. Fast and pleasant staff. Got food out quick and I highly recommend the Big Hoss sandwich and fried okra combo. Will definitely recommend this to everyone and visit again in the future.

Great bbq spot here in bakersfield! you have to try the tomatoe pie! The Catfish sandwich is amazing, some of the best ive had in town. All the bbq is out of this world, the Hoss is my favorite!
