“First off wow!!... I'm super picky but their food is very flavorful and decently priced. I got the chicharon con queso popusa, the pollo tamal, and a side of rice and beans. I really took a chance with the tamal since every tamal I ever have at a restaurant is either dry or too thick.. but when I tell you that this tamal was soft.. im serious!!.. the texture was just something I've never had even with a good tamal.. super moist, airy maza that was satisfying to cut into.. the beans were really flavorful along with the rice; the popusa was also great.. if you're used to the Mexican horchata flavor I would caution you to order one only and try it first before ordering more than one.. I personally didn't like it at all and didn't finish it but that's okay, it's just not the flavor im used to. Staff is friendly and seating is a bit crowded because the place is small, but if you're in town I highly recommend this place.”

So, into the Flames Pizza restaurant I go, and get some pretty amazing garlic cheese bread, and I get it with pizza sauce! I'm in and out in 15 minutes! The garlic cheese bread with pizza sauce was amazing!
5 ☆☆☆☆☆'s for sure, and I had time to stop at the grocery store and get 4 whole chicken for the little weasels, and that'll Hold them over until we get to the oil fields where they'll be set free to eat all those ground squirrels!

“We celebrated my birthday on taco Tuesday & we also participated in the line dancing after dinner in their brand new venue. It was rustic with a timeless, vintage flair. The line dancing was family friendly and so much fun. I had the steak salad. It was solid! Good size steak medallions in a super fresh bed of lettuce and assorted veggies including tomatoes and beets with home made blue cheese dressing. Our daughter who almost never finishes any of her meals consumed most of her taco salad which was a generous serving. She couldn’t stop telling us how good it was! Papa had the very flavorful ground beef tacos with a side of perfectly seasoned potato salad. We ordered a side of carne asada tacos which were a little on the dry and salty side. Although the place was very busy our server was very attentive and recommended their Ribeye special on Thursdays…so, we made it out again tonight to celebrate our anniversary. We both had the amazing ribeye special and boy was it special! Salad was once again so fresh and tasty. The baked potato and sweet potato fries were melt in your mouth yum. The rolls were toasted yet so tender. The steaks were seasoned and cooked to absolute perfection. No need for any condiments on these steaks. We thought it would be good but not that good! Salute to the outstanding chefs! Our server Jasmine was also very attentive and made us feel at home. We ate in the newly extended covered patio which was very inviting but could use better lighting on the outskirts of the patio. We are looking forward to trying the fish Friday specials including shrimp tacos next! Thank you Ethel’s for the outstanding service and for serving up heartwarming meals!”

“extremely poor service. my boys were at a birthday party and it took an hour just to get drinks, at that they warm bottled drinks. then it took another hour or longer to get food. no one ever walked up to them for 45 min. and was not even a busy night not very many other customers their. never came back to refill. the drinks. extremely unacceptable service. it is sad when you can get better service and food from a food truck than an actual restaurant. not sure where to leave star rating but it would be -⭐”

I have met the owner on a couple occasions too and he is very nice and I know the ingredients are fresh bc on one occasion I was there when he was dropping off fresh veggies and fruit. The smoothie I always get is the PB mocha and recently started getting it made green and omg…so good! Totally recommend you try it. The last couple times I was a little disappointed bc my smoothie just wasn’t the same, it was very icey and not blended well and it was made wrong. I figured it was bc it was a new person bc they have never made it like this before and sure enough it was. As soon as they found out about it though they immediately fixed it and made it right. I do love this place so much. I’ll never go anywhere else for a smoothie. If you haven’t tried it yet, you definitely should.”

“We went to Sequoia National Park from LA and while returning back we found this Gem near Bakersfield it’s the only one open late night. The Location is on point with open table setup under the sky with heaters.
“No matter what you order I know it’s gonna be delicious” that’s my statement on food.

“Stopped into Rooster’s Cantina and let’s just say… The nachos disappeared faster than we’d like to admit and the burger absolutely hit the spot.

“My experience at pollo campero was phenomenal, the server Melanie was very kinnd, when I asked for additional plates and condiments, she brought everything to my table, i liked her care for customers and made me feel valued as a guest.”

“Came here for first time for a baby shower. Was definitely a cool place. The bartender was friendly and set me up with a binch of delicious beers. The back room was nice, had lots of tvs with all the football games. Also a few arcade games. Not sure if the pizza we ate came from here, but if it did it was really good too. Definitely will be back again, they are less then 5 minutes from my house.
