“10/10 – Hidden Gem with the Best Ribeye in Town! I’d been hearing rave reviews about the steak at China Cuisine, so I finally decided to check it out with my date. From the moment we walked in, the owner greeted us warmly and told us to sit anywhere – super welcoming and friendly right off the bat. The place has that classic Chinese restaurant vibe: nothing overly fancy, but cozy with an old-school diner feel that makes it comfortable and nostalgic. I mentioned I was there for the famous steak, and the owner recommended the ribeye without hesitation. I went with that, and had my date order one of the Chinese combination plates (can’t remember the exact name, but it was a solid mix of favorites). The food absolutely lived up to the hype – the ribeye was perfectly cooked, juicy, and flavorful, and the combination plate was spot-on delicious. Portions were generous, and everything tasted fresh. But what really stood out was the hospitality; the owner was fantastic to chat with, making the whole experience feel personal and fun. Overall, an easy 10 out of 10 for me. China Cuisine is a must-try if you’re in Shafter – great food, awesome service, and that ribeye alone is worth the visit. We’ll definitely be back soon!”

“Wow. Throw away any idea of visiting other taco trucks in Bakersfield. Wife and I stopped for lunch. Carne asada .. fully loaded, onions, fresh guac, beans, and Cilantro.. outstanding!! The lovely ladies threw in free hot chocolate as well!”

​I had a great experience at this location today! The atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff was incredibly efficient despite it being a busy rush.
​I actually made a mistake and ordered the wrong size at the counter, but the team was so patient and kind about it. They helped me get it fixed and ensured I walked out with exactly what I wanted, all with a smile. It’s rare to find that level of genuine customer service these days.
​My drink was perfectly made, and the positive energy from the baristas really made my morning. I’ll definitely be making this my go-to spot!”

My parents went to dinner on June 7th, my dad's an army veteran and asked if they give a discount. You didn't find out, because Leanne the waitress paid for my parents dinner with her tips and Eddie a long time customer chipped in.

“Best place for Ice Cream in town!
None of that Thrifty, or frozen dairy desert garbage is served here. The ice cream isn’t overpowered with sugar and the fruit pieces are actual fruit! I’ve started going here often now that it’s getting hot! Restaurant is always clean and employees are extremely friendly. I always leave a tip and you should to 😘🙃”
