We tried the quesa birrias, plato de asada, burrito mojado, plato de pollo, and even the pupusas—everything was packed with flavor. Whenever I'm passing through Buttonwillow, this will definitely be my go-to spot!”

“We found this place years ago while stopping at TA for fuel off I-5 in Buttonwillow. As truck drivers, it’s great to find these little jewels! This place is amazing! The food is always great as well as the service!! The bbq sauce is amazing!! Stop by and check them out!!”

“One of my new favorite spots off of the 5. Really phenomenal taco, one of the better ones in recent memory. The burrito was quite good as well, but not as standout as the shrimp taco.

The staff were friendly and efficient, and the vibes were excellent. Made for a really excellent stop.

“We were sick of the fast food along I5 so I looked up best non chain burgers and this place popped up as one of the best burger spots on 5. They were right. Even our teenagers loved it. Next time we go down to LA we are stopping here. Super nice guy working the window too. Do yourself a favor, ditch the fast food and try Frosty King.”

“It’s a small lunch truck between the taco and Chevron gas station parked on the Chevron lot with 3 cute tables set ups where you can eat. I ordered the wet burrito with asada because they ran out of chile verde very cheesy good amount of meat with rice and beans inside👌 only thing I didn’t like was the very small slice of avocado which was disappointing, I also added the red chile they had on the tables on top of my burrito gave it more flavor and spice. My husband ordered the tacos dorados it came with 4 he was able to do 2 potato and 2 chicken he also enjoyed his food. Thank you ladies”

“This McDonald’s had no business being this good! Staff were so friendly and welcoming, smiles all around! Fries were on point, just the right amount of salty, fried just right. Nuggies were carissspyyy but not oily. Even asked us if they could throw away our trash for us. I also noticed a sign next to the register about knowing a customer’s name. Don’t see that at many McDonald’s or even other places. Great service here!”

“man i have been looking for a decent coffee for like 100 miles and this place just showed up out of nowhere. seriously the barista was so nice and even remembered my order when i came back the next day. the iced latte was perfect not too sweet just right and the pastrie was still warm inside. my wife got a chai and she said it was the best shes had in awhile and shes kind of a snob about it lol. honestly a total lifesaver on the road, i woudnt hesitate to stop here again if im ever driving through.”

“Huge thanks to Elizabeth Rodrigues at this Popeyes for her honesty and kindness. When I accidentally left two bags behind, with valuables like my wallet, sunglasses, camera, etc., Elizabeth kept them safe until I returned the next day. Even though I first called after 11PM that day when Popeyes was closed, Kelly from TA was able to walk right over and check because the two are side by side in one open area. Thanks to Elizabeth’s integrity and care, I was able to get all my belongings back without a hitch. Popeyes is lucky to have such a trustworthy and dedicated team member.”

“The only reason it's 4 stars for atmosphere instead of 5 is because it's inside a gas station. They were surprisingly well-supplied with ingredients, given that they're in the middle of nowhere. No tables for sitting... just a quick grab-and-go.”
