“I have been to Tin Cup before in the drive-thru, but this weekend I decided to come here for a sit down lunch and explore the menu a little more. Its a short, but pleasant, drive from Bakersfield and really easy to find! The restaurant was fairly large and very well maintained. They have a surprisingly extensive menu for being a "coffee" place! The staff were all absolute sweethearts and were very patient with us when we took a long time to place our order.. bless their hearts for *very patiently* waiting on my indecisive 13 year old and 3 year old to each finally decide what they wanted to eat lol My littlest kiddo was sad to learn that the mac and cheese was discontinued, but she was happy to try the strawberry cronut! (Again, we hadn't been here for food before, but I looked ahead at the menu and mentioned to her that they had mac n cheese lol... my mistake! Moral of this story -- don't mention the mac and cheese to your kids lol.) I have a nut allergy, but I really wanted to try the Berry Salad. The staff assured me that all menu items are made to order so it would be no problem for them to make my salad without nuts! I liked that they were so knowledgeable about the items on the menu and were able to help me ensure I didn't accidently ingest any nuts. The drinks that my kids got were delicious! Mine was not my favorite, but that was my own fault for ordering sugar free AND coconut milk. Don't let this deter you, because all of the other drinks were GLORIOUS lol“
“First and Foremost Jessica was/is an absolute excellent server. Glad we found this place about 5-6 miles or 10 minutes from the house.. Yes Please!! The food Chicken fried steak, large pancake , ribeye steak and French toast meal with hashbrowns and 2 eggs over medium... The chicken fried steak had a crispy exterior, complemented by tender meat, and a very rich gravy to compliment, creating a delightful contrast in textures. The large pancake was fluffy (thicccc) and satisfying, with a perfect balance of sweetness before you even added the syrup. The ribeye steak was cooked to perfection, juicy and flavorful, though the meat was a lower quality than most other breakfast business I've been to it was still very good. . The French toast was a delightful mix of softness and crunch, eggs cooked perfectly and hashbrowns extra crispy like we like em. I don't eat pancakes/waffles but twice a month this may be my new pancake place ... Anyhoo show up to this gem of a place with great signs all over the inside that remind you of a country diner out in the Virginia or North Carolina about 10:30 or later to miss the crowd and the wait.. “First I’ll start by saying I love how one of the baristas Ms. Lorena always welcomes me when she’s there with a big smile. I’ve tried many drinks and food at Starbucks but my favorites are the strawberry açaí lemonade refresher and the chocolate cake pop.I LOVE the Shafter Starbucks atmosphere and the customer service. I highly recommend this place!!!:)“
“This place is Great! Had to pick up mail at PO across the street and wandered over to check it out.... Really great -if a little pricey- donuts and amazing selection. They're hiring a baker btw if u know someone. Had an apple fritter, wife had a lemon filled. We also got breakfast croissants which were really good and worth the small wait. The counter server was on her first day, having been there I was happy to help her figure out what was what amongst the large and varied selection. Came in to 4 customers ahead of us, when leaving there were about 10 in line. Will definitely return.“
