“This is one of my favorite places to go in town~ They always have the friendliest staff and their food never disappoints! Their new yaki noodles and tazuna rolls are really great. I loved their tazuna roll because I got to build what I like in it, since I always have the hardest time choosing between what roll I want. Their tea is so refreshing to drink! I got the mango black tea and it was definitely the perfect thing to have in today's hot weather. Great place to go for a casual lunch or dinner :) <3“

“Came here for lunch on Saturday. We were 2nd set of customers and soon after people started coming in. Service was fast and friendly. we Ordered a few rolls and appetizers. Didnt disappoint really enjoyed the California Tempura Roll and the Love Roll.“

“I f I enjoy the chicken teriyaki tempura bento box everything I tasted was good it tasted delicious as well as the egg rolls that were crispy. Listen to great place to bring your kids and your family to relax have some good Japanese food and just sit back only Friday or Saturday night“

“The Food is always top quality ive been a patron of this location for years its been the only one that has consistently always had quality sushi and appetizers made they always have me coming back for more. And everytime im there they always throw in a little extra like a lil dessert or some extra sushi etc. They even have little coupons and promo cards they just have so much to offer and the price is always worth it every single time“

“I went with my family of 11 yesterday and we had a great time we had the tempura roll and the mar y tierra roll the aguachiles and shrimp ceviche and every was pretty good like margaritas and micheladas were delicious too and my little liked the chicken tender and fries it is pricey so be prepared to pay the good stuff our waiter was amazing didn’t get his name but he talked Spanish and that’s always a plus“

“I don’t know about the atmosphere because my food was delivered per Uber, but I have to say I already hear a couple times and it’s always delicious and always fresh. This time was so exceptional though value for your money delicious food delivered with Care down to make sure my soup with the light special did not spill. I felt elegant like I was being treated special.!! way to go they are my go to“

“I live close to Umi so I go in a few times a week for the Umi Special. My family and I go in at least once a month and my kids LOVE sushi! When I take them, its definitely not a cheap dinner. we spend just under $200. I order the same thing every time for the special. This last time I went in the chef refused to make the change I always ask for. I'm just not a fan of spicy tuna so I ask to switch out the spicy tuna for spicy crab. this one particular chef just wouldn't do it. That's fine, but I feel like it should be equal across the board. It's not right as a loyal customer I have been ordering the same thing for SO LONG, and then one guy just didn't feel like doing it. A little disappointing but oh well. I came to Jin instead :)“

“Clean, fresh environment with plenty of TVs and comfortable seating options. Clever is the name of the game with this place. Edamame served on the house like bread/butter or chips/salsa, excellent attention to detail in the dishes and decor, and creative yet simple execution across the board. Generous portions, friendly staff, and an alt radio station to make me feel like I am where I am (Bakersfield). The list goes on and on. Make an effort to stop by here if you need to treat yourself ☺️

“It's not fancy. Sushi is 1 to 2 steps above Sams Club sushi. I recommend sitting at the counter where you can select the sushi you want from the conveyor belt. Everything is $3.95 on the conveyor belt. Other menu items can be ordered on the screen above each seat. The items have name cones the preceed the plates so you know what it is. Plates are covered, you push down on cover, lid pops up and you take the plates which the items sit on. Plates general consist of 2 slices of a roll, 4 for smaller. Nigiri can be found there as well. And edame and cucumber salad. From the touchscreen above, you can order all items on the conveyor belt and more. For example, I ordered tempura ($9 for very little), spicy tuna hand roll ($4) and takoyaki ($4). There are more hand rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and rolls. Ramen can be found as well ($10-$12). You special ordered items zip straight you and stop in front of you on the upper belt. To register the plate count, you only drop the saucer plates in a slot in front of you on the table. Don't put food or the small brown dishes in the slot. Drinks are brought out by a robot. For 16 plates + 1 green tea + 1 tempura plate + 10% tip, we paid a little over $90. I'd go back. I had almost zero human interaction and I liked it on this visit.“

“We came in for lunch. Eloy was our chef and he was good and quite entertaining.
I had the steak and chicken, comes with a salad, fried rice and fried vegetables. I could only eat half of my meal. I ended up taking the rest to go.“

“This place is INCREDIBLE! the service was great and the owner even made me a special Aguachile with his homemade sauce and chitlepin chiles! It was hands down the most savory and tasteful aguachiles I’ve ever had. Highly recommend! Was passing through from Ridgecrest but I can’t wait to go again!!“

“First time visiting, the place was clean.The sushi was good. I was feeling sick that day and made the mistake of ordering ramen at a sushi spot, but it was just instant noodles. The flavor was meh and it was overpriced for what you get. The staff is cool and the music in there was really good.“

“If you’ve never visited, you need to try Ichiban.
Today was my second visit and we’ll definitely be coming again. Complimentary edamame and miso soup, and Linda also offered our 2 year old son a heaping bowl of tofu after she saw him asking “more! more! more!”. We ordered x2 Alaskan rolls (my wife loves salmon sushi) and a teriyaki bowl—and it is my favorite teriyaki chicken in town.
We would have never tried Ichiban if it weren’t for being close proximity to our church, but I’m glad we found it!“

“The business itself is nothing fancy. The food is solid. I had a Birria quesadilla and an Horchata drink. The quesadilla was flavorful but nothing that would stand out from other places that serve this kind of food. The Horchata was very good. The rice and cinnamon came through and it too thick.“

“This has been our go to sushi place for quite some time. The atmosphere is awesome but this past visit i really have to give a shoutout to our server Mackenzie. She went out of her way to make sure my toddler was well taken care of and was being loud (as toddlers do) and she made sure to let us know we were no bother at all.
Will be our permanent sushi place.“
