This is probably the most comforting, homemade feeling Korean food I’ve had in this town.

If you’re looking for authentic, traditional Korean food that feels like a home cooked meal, I definitely recommend this place. If you prefer fusion style Korean food, you may want to look elsewhere.“

Hidden little gem in Bakersfield, very cool decor with crusader art work and pieces.
Prices are great, chill vibes, beer was good, food was tasty, portions were satisfying, service was very friendly. Plus they have beer to go and host all kinds of events.

There were a few things that brought the rating down. There was some drunk dude, who l'm assuming is a local, who for some reason was in charge of the music. I love variety but he was literally skipping song after song even changing it halfway through a song and being a bit over the top loud and kinda abnoxious but that is not the establishments fault. Besides that, the beers currently on tap are not the same as the ones listed on their website, and the Crowlers we grabbed to go were not sealed properly and leaked.
All in all, Would still recommend a try!“

“This is one of my favorite places to go in town~ They always have the friendliest staff and their food never disappoints! Their new yaki noodles and tazuna rolls are really great. I loved their tazuna roll because I got to build what I like in it, since I always have the hardest time choosing between what roll I want. Their tea is so refreshing to drink! Decided to try coconut joes and was pleasantly surprised. Place is a gem. Nice beach vibes took me back to when I lived in So. Cal and would be hanging out on Main Street in Huntington Beach. Got the fish and chips the shrimp and onion rings and a tri tip sandwich. Everything was fantastic and loved the fish and chips and I only used to like H. “We had a great experience there for lunch today on 8-31-26. Billy was our server and he personally made sure that we were taken care of. The hostess was very friendly and got us our silverware and sat us down. The atmosphere was nice and inviting and quiet. We went at the perfect time around 2:30 pm.
It felt like we had the place to ourselves. We hadn't been there in quite a few years so we just decided to stop in and I am so glad we did. We had orange chicken and Lo mein noodles and a lunch special of crispy honey chicken over fried rice with veggies and a house salad for 14.99. Everything was so delicious. “I have been comming to Wool Growers since I was just a kid. I am 65 now. Moved away about 20 years ago. Tonight is the first time I have eaten here in at least 15 years. Foods was excellent just the way I remember it. Service was great. Some of the faces have changed but the food and service are the same. Thank You so much for a great meal.“

“Just sharing a quick review of a new venue for us. Every town has their local gem whether it be a restaurant or a venue or even a park. We were invited to STARS, a local small dinner-theater in old downtown Bakersfield to see the production of, In The Heights. Think Lin-Manuel Miranda from Hamilton. Wow! They have a newly decorated bar & lounge where the vibe is spot-on 1930s style. The theater itself has various levels w/linen covered dining tables & everyone has a great view of the stage. The dinner: green salad, dinner rolls & nice entrées + yummy desserts. We chose tri-tip & it was very good. The service was exceptional. The production, all local talent, the singing, dancing & the acting …they did NOT disappoint. Some stood out with exceptional talent. Lin-Manuel Miranda would’ve been very proud of this production. The city of Bakersfield should be very proud of this local gem & I’m sure they are. We are definitely returning as the upcoming shows look to be equally delightful & entertaining. Sadly, not many dinner theaters around anymore. The band was so smooth even though you know they’re there, the meshing of the show numbers & the music was seamless.
