“Today I had the pleasure of eating here at this location i don’t know where to start when you come in the hostess treats you amazingly you feel welcomed the food was incredible I had a bacon cheese hamburger it was incredible it actually tasted like a hamburger it’s hard to actually find a place with a good hamburger but this place is incredible my waitress was incredible she went above and beyond to provide great customer service she made me feel welcomed she was attentive and made sure I dididint need anything else service was incredible thank you Michelle for providing great customer service I will definitely be back here to eat more often“
“Delicious catfish, and yummy shrimp. You can taste the love in every bite. Seating is family style with old school picnic tables, but there is plenty of space. The staff were friendly, and food came quick after ordering. I'd definitely go back for their black eyed peas alone“
“The idea of a fast food restaurant serving fish seems weird, however California Fish Grill pulls it off. Many different types of fish served with tasty sides for about 2/3rds the price of a seafood meal at a full service restaurant. And the food is great tasting. This place has become our favorite restaurant for fish and we’ve started eating here once a week. It’s good food and we can afford it. The atmosphere is sterile looking, typical fast food interior But who cares, the food and prices are awesome.“
“Fantastic, original food. Cooked fresh. Cook comes out offers you tastes of other dishes. It is a little hoke in the walk, but plenty of food. Hot Pot Bulgogi soup is best I have had. Service is quiet but efficient. Offers 5 little dishes to try prior to entree.“
“This is my go to place when in Bakersfield. The folks there always do a great job of taking care of me. The shrimp bucket is fantastic. I always add sausage to it and that makes it all the better. The Cajun fries are the best with a little shrimp bucket juice on them.Kid-friendliness: They have great options like fish and chips and chicken strips.“
“Small little restaurant. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but the food was very good. We had the combo fajitas and a side order of ceviche. Came out with warm tortillas that I swear were the best I've ever had. No sour cream or cheese with them, but did get guacamole. Service was very slow. If you are in a hurry or on a lunch break I wouldn't recommend. We say for 20 minutes waiting for our order to be taken. Once it was taken food came out quickly. Took another 15 minutes for us to get the check when done. Worth a visit, just plan to have time to wait.“
“Went with family for late lunch. We had fajitas and they were wonderful. Ordered caldo de res to go for dinner. It was excellent. The service is outstanding and prices are good. Will be back there soon. Also, ordered my granddaughter french fries, they were very good too.“
“I go every time I get a chance to call Daddy's I love itParking: There's always a crowd but I've always been able to park it revolves with customers in a good manner with everybody gets a chance to sitKid-friendliness: Very friendly kid friendly is the fish aquarium with live fish in several other little items that really have a kid's attention very kid friendly I'll give it a 10“
“Food was pretty good. Really enjoyed the bean dip and pot beans. The best thing about this place hands down is Carol. She was such an amazing person. You felt like you knew her and she took great care of us. I hope this gets back to her. Thank you Carol for your hospitality and your fun interactions. J²“
“One guy was very dull, and made me get my own condiments! Which I'm not upset but they could have told us when we ordered the food! Sorry, for that I just figured let people know about the condiments before they get situated so they are more comfortable in the establishment! Other than that I'm very happy! Thank you!“
“Realllly good food, I would definitely come back here again. The octopus was delicious. The shrimp was amazing. I think everything on the menu looked amazing and the place was packed so that's a sign that they're doing things right. If you want mariscos in Bakersfield, this is a very solid spot“
“Primera ves en Mariscos Los Juanes y definitivamente regresariamos mi esposo y yo. Encargamos un coctel de camaron cocido, una taco gorbernador y una seca 7 especial todo estaba riquísimo los camarones estaban cocidos ala perfección los mariscos frescos y ricos y el taco delicioso super recomendado“
“They have a half price luncheon deal that is perfect ?. I had the cheese burger with a baked potato and it was not a half price burger! It was every bit as good as the last steak I had there. 100% recommend this place for a great meal at a great price with great service and great atmosphere. Thank you Hungry Hunter. ??“
“This place is hidden in the back of a very large bazaar of Latino shops. When you get to the back,it's really a food court with two stages for live music, and similar. Mariscos is separated out from the others. The physical separation probably has to exist because of Utah's liquor laws. It's also the only place with table service. The menu is in Spanish, and when we had some questions, our server needed to get someone with better English skills. This entire facility is not one that is catering to Anglo's. That said, we never felt out of place, and I assume most likely some of the most straight up Mexican food comes out of here. It's supposed to be the food of Sinaloa, having not been there, I'll take their word for it. Mariscos is all about seafood. They do everything from a whole fried tilapia to ceviche and oysters on the half shell. Most of the people were eating large stemmed glasses of shrimp cocktail ceviche. We went with a dozen oysters of the half shell covered with ceviche and a shrimp on stop. They were pretty over the top. We found that by removing much of the ceviche we could taste the oyster more, and get it all in our mouth in one bite. We also had a tostada plate of shrimp, limes, red onions, avacado, and something else I could not identify. Along with a Mexican beer, it was a nice lunch. The music was fairly loud. There was a lady singing the words to the music. At various periods she would come around for tip. It was worth the $5 I gave her. This is not likely to be on the regular rotation, but I really enjoyed it, and would recommend it to others. Some of the other booths had some good looking options as well.“
“The food here is amazing! Honestly, if you don't go here you missing out. The service is amazing because they will remember everything you say without writing it down. I love the way they have the restaurant decorated, and they also have reservations for large parties. The last time we went there they had a party of 20 inside the restaurant but outside they had like about 40 people having a party of some sort. I recommend this place.“
“Celebrated my sister's bday at this restaurant and 1st we had to wait about an hr for a table ( 10people, becausethey don'ttake any reservations) then service was slow! Waitress came to check on us around 4 times during our 2 1/2 hrs we sat there! Food n drinks were good and u only get 2 free baskets of chips and Salsa. After that they charge you. Gratuity is included on parties of 10 or more!!“
“Hey I was blown away, I've been wanting to stop here for the longest time, and to my surprise it turned out to be one of the best Mexican restaurants in Bakersfield that I've been to so far. Stop by anything you order will be enjoyed hand made tortillas with menudo or goat birria and of course their specialty carnitas with some cold beer. I truly recommend this place, come try it you'll love it.Tell them I sent you, -Ramon OrnelasAnd give Marisol the waitress a good tip, she really works for it, she goes out of her way to please you, you won't be disappointed.“
“This is one of my favorite restaurants in Bakersfield. It is my favorite, Italian restaurant, and a perfect place to come for a wonderful dinner. We came on a busy night, with three downtown events happening all at the same time. We were served by Michael, who made sure that our order was rushed, that we had drinks, appetizers, and plenty of pepper when our meal arrived. I ordered the linguine with white clam sauce and my husband had the "one crab leg short of a cioppino" linguine pescadore. The restaurant was sure that our ticket was ready, with plenty of time for us to check out and make our event on time. If you would like great service, and even better food, go here!“
“Beach barbecue is the style here. Fabulous fish and chips. My favorite is the petite plate. You get a choice of 2 meats: chicken, tri tip, pulled pork or beef. 2 sides: slaw, beans, rice or corn. The tri tip is very tender, but doesn't come medium rare, only cooked all the way. It's still delicious. The pulled pork is good, but a little too fatty for my taste. The chicken is great and you can get all white meat if you want to pay extra. Food is served quickly so if the place looks busy, don't worry you'll be eating in no time.“
“The spicy chicken ramen was amazing. Nice kick but not hot enough to burn! The fried shrimp was the best I've ever had, potstickers were so fresh and the dipping sauce was like a soy sauce/terriyaki flavor that was so good I dipped my ramen in it too!“
“Parking: We got the tacos Cameron o pescado (fried fish tacos), shrimp ceviche and seafood mix ceviche. The fish tacos were solid and the two green and creamy sauces were divine. A hidden gem in Bakersfield. Out of the two ceviche, I really enjoyed the mixed seafood. Everything was cooked perfectly, nothing was over cooked and the flavors were simple but bold. The seafood mix had scallops, octopus and shrimp with cucumbers and tomatoes“
“Good spot to watch sports and have a beer. Always good food every time I've gone. From personal experience, order from the window, not the bar. You'll just wait longer, that's it. The plate I got is the botana mirvie. If I didn't get it right my bad in advance.“
“We had a great lunch here table of 8 people. The fish and chips were great. Others had sandwiches and chicken picotta , and the chef Jose was making it happen in the busy kitchen. Everyone enjoyed their lunch choices. Dont eat the garlic fries there addictive lol. .We had fun with the lottery while we waited for our food they had the California lottery scratcher machine and keno. Our server Brittany could not have been any better taking care of us all. She seated us , got drinks, and served our food quickly. Just the right amount of time didn't feel rushed and didn't feel like we were waiting. We were out of there in an hour. Brittany tells us they offer weekday lunch each day. We had a great time! We sat in the front bar area. However, they have added a large covered seating area out back very nice addition. The place felt clean, and the bathrooms were clean. You must try this place at least once, and if you haven't been in a while like myself, there are a lot of changes for the good . I do recommend better ventilation in the kitchen for a couple of reasons, but im not complainingill go back. Overall, it was a great experience .Parking: Don't stress, parking is like any great hole in the wall , they don't have a huge parking lot but there's street parking and a short walk. Or get there outside of busy hours like noon . I'm not complaining about parking. I'd rather walk a ways to a good /fun place than pull right up to a bad one, lol don't let parking stop you. You could always drop off someone who doesn't walk well at the front door.“
“This is a clean and nice place to sit down and eat. My wife and I had lunch she ordered the tacos de camaron Dorados and they were good, I myself ordered a mixta tornado and the portion was big and ceviche was excellent. Great place and prices are great as well would definitely come back.Parking: Kinda of awkward how parking is situated.“
“The loaded shrimp empanadas were delicious! If they were not dressed up with cabbage, sour cream, and other greens they would otherwise seem dry. I ordered the green aguachiles, but I could not eat the shrimp, unfortunately. They were raw and there was a dark vein running through most of them. Also ordered a side of beans and they were ok (maybe they would have tasted better with cheese). Based on the other reviews, I must try this place again when visiting Bakersfield, because they had some other menu items only found on costal Mexican towns, like the pescado zarandeado. I was advised to order ahead because it takes about 45 minutes to prepare. Service was great, restaurant was clean, they had outdoor seating, and the menu was big.“
“Went late at night craving Mexican food, wasn't disappointed! Delicious food, probably the cheapest (and nicest for the price) fajita in town I could get. Service was a tad slow, however it was a busy night! Football and all. Warm and a bit loud as it was connected to a bar I believe? Still a wonderful bite especially for the night I came.“
“The authentic Mexican cuisine is impeccable. The food was delicious and the service fantastic. I saw something on the menu that caught my eye and my server recommend something better! It was wonderful and perfectly spicy. The chips were warm when served and the salsa was good. The atmosphere was on point and I got a great serving size for the price. I'll definitely be coming back.“
“We have been to this Sizzler several times and the food is always great. The salad bar is one of the best I have been to. Always fresh and fully stocked. Today our server was Oscar who was pleasant, attentive, and friendly. 5 stars for Oscar. I spoke to the general manager Lorena to let her know what a great restaurant she was running and great staff she has. We will always stop when in the area.“
