“Very disappointed in my kids turkey sandwich that I always order at the Mount Vernon location but decided to go here because I was in the area. The bread was so salty on top that I could not eat my sandwich and it had no mayonnaise on it and it was sloppily made. So needless to say I am very disgusted and disappointed with this location and will not be returning. These employees need to pay attention to what the hell they're doing“

“I drove past this restaurant while visiting my sister in the hospital. I’m not from the area but thought I’d get some take-out. It was fresh, hot, and good sized servings. I had Pad Thai and added crispy tofu, as well as the garlic green beans. Delicious!“

Plus they throw in a free 2 liter so that’s cool.“

“When I heard about the new management, I wanted to give this place a try after 2 years because I didn’t like how they made it before. But now it is so so delicious. I ordered 2 large pizzas, one butter chicken and one paneer tikka. It fed my family of 5 with leftovers. The deal was buy one get one free and I only paid $28.13 for both. If they keep the prices low, deals going, and taste the same, it’ll be the best Indian style pizza in town. Highly recommend!!“

“The double charburger was excellent. I didn't care for the steak sandwich it had a weird texture in my opinion. Service was great, and the booths were nice and roomy, and the restaurant was clean.So were the bathrooms. If you download their app, you get free items all the time today we got a free double char burger.“

“Clean, fresh environment with plenty of TVs and comfortable seating options. Clever is the name of the game with this place. Edamame served on the house like bread/butter or chips/salsa, excellent attention to detail in the dishes and decor, and creative yet simple execution across the board. Generous portions, friendly staff, and an alt radio station to make me feel like I am where I am (Bakersfield). The list goes on and on. Make an effort to stop by here if you need to treat yourself ☺️

“Love west coast sourdough on stockdale hwy always have excellent customer service especially from a wonderful soul named Sandra I always see her working hard and with so much love!. Place is always super clean , wonderful music and they make the best sandwiches! I highly recommend West Coast sourdough on stockdale hwy.“

“This is the first time ever I have ordered/purchased food from Flames and Skewers. I ordered Chicken Kabob Wrap Combo and paid some $16.20 ... The food was reallly yummy, loved the wrap. And you get a ton of crinkle fries. It was YUMMY! I will buy from here more often now. I still wish to make a suggestion. Please please please clean the tables properly. I had to wait for my food for about 5 minutes and hated those sticky tables, was scared to rest my arms on the table. Hate it when the tables are sticky, don't think I will ever dine in here because of those sticky tables tops. I guess, they had drinks spilled over on them which were not cleaned properly. Other than that, I loved the food.“

“I like this place for their happy hour drinks. I can get a large soda for $1.01 after 4 o'clock. It's so much better than the 2.50 you will pay before 4. Their chocolate covered ice cream cones are also very good! I took off one star because it always takes a long time in the drive thru if there is anyone ordering food in front of you.“

“Is this authentic Italian food? No, but I do like the food here. My usual is spaghetti with meat sauce and I also get meatballs and a side of alfredo sauce to pour on top of my meat sauce. I really love their meatballs. They're delicious to me. I have had other entrees like eggplant parmesan, fettuccine alfredo, tour of Italy, and chicken parmesan to name a few, but I always go back to ordering my usual. I'm not a big fan of their breadsticks. The only time I like them is when they are hot and fresh, but usually they don't come to us that way. Their salad is OK. It's not the best I have had. I do really like their soup. My 2 favorites are Chicken Gnocchi and Zuppa Toscana. I like these 2 soups so much that I have copycat recipes for them and make them throughout the fall and winter when temperatures drop. Their customer service is usually pretty good. One issue at this location that is not appealing is when we get our salad/soup, within 2 minutes, we get our food. We don't have enough time to eat our salad/soup and our food gets cold in the meantime. Someone really needs to figure this out. This has happened to us several times we have been here. I also have noticed that hosts and hostesses leave a slip of paper taped to each table which is to make sure the manager visits every table before the customers leave. As much as I appreciate the idea and sentiment of this, it needs to be utilized better. The manager comes around to each table with her iPad in hand and without any personality asking how our food is or visit is going. To me, it doesn't even seem like she cares. It seems more like she's just checking a box. This isn't a restaurant that we normally go to, but it's nice to come to occasionally.“
