Bakersfield has a lot of Mexican restaurants. We had camped in the beautiful Sequoia National Forest for four days and were jonesin' for some Mexican food. We picked Agave based on Google reviews and its proximity to the freeway. We got lucky! The service was good, and the food was great! The smoky salsa they served with the fresh tortilla chips was the first indicator that we had chosen wisely. The chile verde was as good as my mamacita could've made. Wasn’t expecting the burrito to be so big. I’m a vegetarian and they were so accommodating- they allowed me to modify a menu item to my dietary preferences. I also don’t drink alcohol and they were very accommodating making a mai tai mocktail! Very friendly staff.
