“it's no longer called Sakura buffet its called jades buffet i believe . anyways when i went this place was charging around $22.50 per adult children under 2 eat free. i didn't take any children over the 2 year mark or any seniors so i have no idea if children are half the price of what an adult would be or if they even have senior discounts. the classic coi fish are at the entrance to greet you just make sure you don't touch them or feed them. you no longer get guided to a table or get your drink brought to you by a waiter like before now you do all that yourself.they're still waiters going around to take the dirty dishes of your table but that's about it i don't see the need to tip anymore but it's still and option if you so please. they have a lot of verity of food and its good by far the best(or at least the few times I've been there) shrimp ive had of any buffet they were really good and were not mushy from a spending so much time in the freezer they were what you expect from a salt and pepper shrimp just make sure you hurry and get them as they leave as fast as they came from the tray. my favorite things are the saute mushrooms in a sauce, the pepper chicken/jalapeño chicken, the sea food boil, the chicken on a stick, chow main, and some of the sushis just to name a few things. great spot but definitely food is subjective when it comes to flavor so you be the judge for yourself“

“I dont know what some people expect to pay for an all you can eat buffet! Sure this place can use a little sprucing up but that woupd raise the prices even more. I'm seing some of these reviews as if $35 for 2 people to eat all you can eat (crab included) is costly. I'm not trying to be mean or disrespectful but It seems like some people complaining, really can't afford to eat out and are blaming this place for it. I'm a single man and if I go to the grocery store nowadays just to cook something simple like tacos. Your looking ay $25 plus. So i'm not sure how much these people expect to pay for all you can eat food. $9.99 :) please try and be a decent person in life and quit blaming other people and establishments for your short-comings“
“I know many people who do not prefer buffets for many reasons, however; Hodel’s in Bakersfield, California has many great qualities that will be preferred by them. The food does not sit on the tray for long periods of time. It is fresh. As a matter of fact, you can order some food of whatever they have available behind the counter! This place has a country style atmosphere. Lots of parking space and a very easy off and back on the 99 freeway and Olive Avenue. Friendly staff and lots of clean restrooms. Fresh salads. Tasty desserts and many options on food. Price is very reasonable for the amount of food and its taste. I honestly recommend this place when looking for a buffet for the whole family or even for yourself. You will be satisfied just like I did…Vegetarian options: Lots of greens and fruitsParking: PlentyKid-friendliness: Very friendly for the kidsWheelchair accessibility: Plenty of room“
