“I don’t usually leave reviews unless I am truly “wowed”. Nothing beats this place and I’ve lived in 4 different states! Their coffee is most definitely a hidden gem - it’s a must have. Their pricing is ridiculously inexpensive for what you get. Their breakfast sandwiches are literal chef’s kiss. I loath maple bacon bars… their maple bacon bar might be the best donut I have ever had! The donuts are consistently fresh, melt in your mouth, and there isn’t one that I don’t like. Now the staff! They are always so kind! Every time we go, there are regulars coming and going (some hangout) and the staff remembers each of their orders. My husband stops by every so often in the morning and they are listing off his order before he even gets to the counter. The atmosphere feels like walking into your best friends house! You’re in and out within 5 minutes tops. When friends/family come to visit us this is the one place we make sure that they try before they leave. When in town, they are regulars as well lol. So, this is clearly an absurdly long review, but Angel Donuts is more than deserving! If there are any negative reviews stopping you from trying this place, just know that they are 100% Karen’s - ignore them completely.“

“I needed two dozen powdered sugar donuts for my daughter’s bridal shower and I didn’t think to order them ahead of time. When I arrived to the store, I was disappointed that they didn’t have any. BUT, the young lady at the counter was so helpful and asked the baker if he could powder up some donuts for me! The Angel Donuts team at the Hageman store saved the morning! Not only that...the service was over the top when, after learning that there was a situation in the parking lot that had me concerned, the young lady (I wish I would have gotten her name!) kept an eye on me until I made it safely to my car! Wow! Thank you, Angel Donuts!“

“Rainbow Donut might not be the fanciest shop around, but their doughnuts are pretty solid! The real gem is their ham, cream cheese, and jalapeño stuffed croissants—absolutely delicious! I haven't tried their iced coffee yet, but judging by the quality of the rest of their items, I'm sure it's great. A bit of a hidden gem that’s definitely worth a visit for fresh, tasty treats.“

“Underrated. I miss being able to sit inside though. I've been going to this place since I was walking to school, I actively collected silver change just to get bagel sandwiches here and I love showing up now and then. It's not just nostalgia though, I really recommend trying their smoothies. I love Taro and Pistachio, the donut holes are also great. Never had any problems with anyone working here, only complaint I have is some sketchy people here and there but they've never personally bothered me- a small thing to deal with for the food and smoothies though.“

I got 2 pink donuts for $3, very soft and delicious 😋 Amazing donutss, they are not dry at all and the owner is very friendly! ❤️ The rumors are true, they sell out like super fast, you have to be there early in the morning to get a lot of donuts, I was there at 10am and only had a few selection of pink and chocolate donuts, croissants, and a twisted croissant 🙂. I bought were chilled. I bought a dozen and they were all really good. Soft fresh fluffy. I am not really a donut person, as in I’ll eat them if someone buys them but I never would go buy donuts. “I definitely recommend bread & honey! They have a different amount of delicious bread desserts. Not to mention the customer service is AMAZING!! My daughter was looking for something specific for her class potluck and Mike was so helpful and accommodating! He actually even went the extra mile to make something for her since she needed something specific! And of course, the taste was delicious!! Definitely recommend!! “Smith’s Bakeries, has a small satellite space located inside the Countryside Market.Smith’s bakery has been a staple in Bakersfield for about 70 years. They now have several different satellite shops in Bakersfield, along with their main bakery on Union Ave.Try their thumb print cookies, I don’t know anyone who doesn’t like them.“

“Smith’s Bakery is a gem of a place in Bakersfield, truly amazing. Everything I’ve had from there for the 25 years I’ve been going there has been nothing but the best. But my God, are they overpriced. They raised their prices dramatically during the pandemic, which I understand to a point. But now they appear to be arbitrarily raising prices just because. And it happens in such a short amount of time that it’s kind of pitiful. For example, they raised the price of a box of their thumbprint cookies by $2 in ONE month. What justifies THAT much of a cost increase in such a short period of time?“

“Prices went up since I last remember for my Bakersfield visits. This location does not get much product for sell and difficult when you have limits available. Thump cookies were 3+ days old which is a bit odd to continue to sell so I did not buy the kids the small cookies. Wish they had more availability.“

“It's a really nice area. The store is clean and very inviting for families to go and enjoy it. It's not a very big store but plenty of room. Not super busy, very comfortable setting to just sit down and enjoy a small breakfast or snack The staff was very friendly and happy to help That's why I broke my phone again. “I absolutely love this Dunkin’ Donuts! The staff here is super friendly, fast, and always makes the experience feel easy and welcoming. One of the employees even put me onto her personal favorite drink, an iced caramel macchiato with chocolate cold foam & now it’s officially my go-to. It’s SO good!

On top of that, I even showed the staff a fun way to “clock it” with their fingers, and they were all so cool and engaging about it. You can tell they genuinely enjoy interacting with customers.

This place is always convenient, quick, and has such a positive vibe. Definitely my new favorite spot!“
