BUT, the young lady at the counter was so helpful and asked the baker if he could powder up some donuts for me! The Angel Donuts team at the Hageman store saved the morning! Not only that...the service was over the top when, after learning that there was a situation in the parking lot that had me concerned, the young lady (I wish I would have gotten her name!) kept an eye on me until I made it safely to my car! Wow! Thank you, Angel Donuts!“

“With KoRn’s success in the late 1990s Bakersfield’s only real claim to fame one shouldn’t expect much from the local culinary scene, yet as luck might have it Rosedale Donuts compares favorably to other like-shops in Los Angeles or San Diego despite a lower price-point.Presumably Cambodian owned, daily hours from 5am until 3pm finding all varieties of fried Dough made fresh on-site, it was before sunrise that shelves were found stuffed while two elderly gentlemen sipped Coffee near the window discussing their Christmas plans.Fast and friendly in terms of service, eight items including an oversized oilless Fritter boxed up for just over $12, Yeast Rings and Twists were fluffy beneath typical Glazes while Chocolate Cake ate more moist than many even before the addition of Frosting or Sprinkles.Not to be mistaken as an artisan shop, most everything assuredly made from a mix, proper frying temperatures see Cake excel whether standard or cog-wheel while Buttermilk Bars are absolutely flawless thanks to the application of Glaze while still warm thus allowing some penetration below the surface.“

I got 2 pink donuts for $3, very soft and delicious 😋 Amazing donutss, they are not dry at all and the owner is very friendly! ❤️ The rumors are true, they sell out like super fast, you have to be there early in the morning to get a lot of donuts, I was there at 10am and only had a few selection of pink and chocolate donuts, croissants, and a twisted croissant 🙂. “Underrated. I miss being able to sit inside though. I've been going to this place since I was walking to school, I actively collected silver change just to get bagel sandwiches here and I love showing up now and then. It's not just nostalgia though, I really recommend trying their smoothies. I love Taro and Pistachio, the donut holes are also great. Never had any problems with anyone working here, only complaint I have is some sketchy people here and there but they've never personally bothered me- a small thing to deal with for the food and smoothies though.“

Upon my arrival, I was greeted and served by the distinguished Wilver. The atmosphere and ambiance of the shop were super welcoming, clean, peaceful, yet also joyful the second I stepped in.

I ordered a dozen donuts consisting of both the Classic and Bougie assortments, plus an apple fritter for myself. As a self-proclaimed apple fritter snob, I can attest that it and the other donuts were scrumptious and exceeded expectations!

“Smith’s Bakeries, has a small satellite space located inside the Countryside Market.Smith’s bakery has been a staple in Bakersfield for about 70 years. They now have several different satellite shops in Bakersfield, along with their main bakery on Union Ave.Try their thumb print cookies, I don’t know anyone who doesn’t like them.“

“Smith’s Bakery is a gem of a place in Bakersfield, truly amazing. Everything I’ve had from there for the 25 years I’ve been going there has been nothing but the best. But my God, are they overpriced. They raised their prices dramatically during the pandemic, which I understand to a point. But now they appear to be arbitrarily raising prices just because. And it happens in such a short amount of time that it’s kind of pitiful. For example, they raised the price of a box of their thumbprint cookies by $2 in ONE month. What justifies THAT much of a cost increase in such a short period of time?“

“Prices went up since I last remember for my Bakersfield visits. This location does not get much product for sell and difficult when you have limits available. Thump cookies were 3+ days old which is a bit odd to continue to sell so I did not buy the kids the small cookies. Wish they had more availability.“

“I absolutely love this Dunkin’ Donuts! The staff here is super friendly, fast, and always makes the experience feel easy and welcoming. One of the employees even put me onto her personal favorite drink, an iced caramel macchiato with chocolate cold foam & now it’s officially my go-to. It’s SO good!

On top of that, I even showed the staff a fun way to “clock it” with their fingers, and they were all so cool and engaging about it. You can tell they genuinely enjoy interacting with customers.

This place is always convenient, quick, and has such a positive vibe. Definitely my new favorite spot!“
