Oh my goodness we drove from LA to Bakersfield for the white champagne cake for my sons first holy communion. It was amazing. This is our favorite cake! We got two cupcakes too that were devoured within 20 minutes of being in the car. Everyone loves these cakes. It's like eating a cloud it's so light and fluffy.
I've always loved Smith's bakery, when I was younger it was always my special treat for having good grades or receiving a reward . Smith's is always so nostalgic to me . I went in today to snag some goodies for Mother's Day . They have so much amazing looking pastries! I asked the ladies behind the counter for a recommendation and they said maple bars are very good along with the thumbprint cookies . I had a good experience here , I'm sure I'll be back in the future.

My mother in law often treats us to Smith's cookies and they are always such a treat! You can tell Smith's is old school with their simple, child-like cookie designs, but they sure are delicious! The beehive is also a special treat. Be sure to go early, so you get everything you want!
