“This is the place I've used as a comparison of what real, authentic carnitas and birria tacos should be. The carnitas tacos rivel some of the best I've tasted in Michoacán, Mexico. I don't recommend trying other meats, although they're good too, the carnitas (mixtas/surtidas) and birria de chivo are the best I've tasted anywhere in the U.S. It's a no frills lunch truck in a somewhat rough neighborhood of Bakersfield, but it's well worth it. I lived in LA for 6-7 years and I couldn't find tacos that could come close to these from Los Cuñados Bakersfield (lunch truck).“
“The food was impressive! I normally don't like to order sea food to go but for this rare occasion we needed to heat and both wanted something semi light. (Not a big honken burger). So we decided on this location. I was surprised to see so many people inside during the middle of the day. Also super surprised that they had a wine list. The vibe was really chill, I went to the pickup stand grabbed my food and was gone in minutes. Once home I proceeded to devour the entire plate...(not the actual plate, just the food) I ordered the catfish with fries and street corn. Everything was very well seasoned. My only complaint is that they placed the fish directly on top of my fries so the fries were very soggy. Besides that everything tasted great and I will be back.“
“I had the Carne Asada quesadilla, which was packed with all kinds of flavorful ingredients, as well as the fish taco. The fish taco was fried with mastery, and really came together from the first bite. I would certainly return. If anything, I would've liked to have had a sour cream sauce to dip the quesadilla in.“

“Yup their name is accurate. The tacos were very tasty. I like the asada the most of the three carnes I tried (asada, lengua, and chorizo). If you want a kick order the chorizo. My BF is tearing a little from the chorizo. They also had cabeza, tripa, and pastor. I didn't try those yet, will be back. Likely during tacos Tuesday when they're tacos are $1.50 each.“
“They are the sweetest people. Be aware it is cash only. I was not aware and had my debit card, I did not have enough cash on me for my order. He offered me to come back tomorrow to pay him. I told him I had some cash but I was 4 dollars short. The food was already made and he was sweet and said no worries that it was fine. How sweet of him. I believe he was the owner. The food was delicious and made to order. I had called it in and when I picked it up it was ready and still hot when I got home. 10/10 Definitely recommend. They were loaded with super tender meat and the consume was so good I drank it as a soup at the end. Most birria seems to have a heavy hand with chili powder flavor (that I'm not a huge fan of) and meat and consume was perfectly seasoned and complex rich beef stock flavor with only a hint of chili powder flavor. The gentleman who took my order was patient with me while I accustomed myself to their menu. I can honestly say I can't imagine finding better birria anywhere else and am thankful they are here in Bakersfield. I'm trying some of their other stuff next time. Great work!“

“This taco truck tucked away next to the IN-N-Out on Panama was recommended by some colleagues, and it did not disappoint. I knew it would be good when I saw how long the line was at 10:00 PM on a cold weeknight. Their menu is surprisingly large for a taco truck and even more impressive considering the main draw is the freshly made tortillas. This definitely adds to the wait time, as I waited about 20 minutes before getting my food. But as expected, the homemade tortillas made a huge difference in texture and consistency. I ordered a carne asada burrito and a single chorizo taco. I ate the taco first and wasn't happy with the size: I finished it in not even two bites. But was it tasty? Certainly. The meat was well-seasoned and cooked just right. And the freshness of the cilantro and onions were spot on. Was it worth $3.50 (or $1.75 per bite)? No. But now I know to just get the burrito which was likely the best taco truck burrito I've had in a long time. The tortilla tied the carne asada and salsa all together harmoniously. And the portion was decent sized. I'm definitely coming back to try their other menu items - but not the microscopic tacos however.“
