“I was craving Italian food and was out of town for work. I was driving by downtown and stumbled upon Mamma Mia. It was about 5:30pm and it was starting to get crowed (highly recommend to make reservations before showing up). I walked in without a reservation and luckily was seated. The server was so friendly and informative on the menu and drinks. He recommended the dishes and they were beyond delicious. I definitely will be coming back when I'm town. Thank you for the great food and experience!“
“I came to Bakersfield on a solo road trip (late 20s woman) and this place was amazing. The barbecue burger is definitely one of the best I’ve ever had! The sauce… don’t make me talk about the sauce… speechless! The waiters were very nice to me too, and the atmosphere was very welcoming. I’ll definitely recommend it, 10 out of 10.“
“Some of the best and most affordable pizza ever. If you have kids, they have tree tables in their own section, away from everyone else. Any of their pizzas are food, and the garlic knots are amazing. My kid will ALWAYS eat their popcorn chicken.“
“This is one of my favorite restaurants in Bakersfield. It is my favorite, Italian restaurant, and a perfect place to come for a wonderful dinner. We came on a busy night, with three downtown events happening all at the same time. We were served by Michael, who made sure that our order was rushed, that we had drinks, appetizers, and plenty of pepper when our meal arrived. I ordered the linguine with white clam sauce and my husband had the "one crab leg short of a cioppino" linguine pescadore. The restaurant was sure that our ticket was ready, with plenty of time for us to check out and make our event on time. If you would like great service, and even better food, go here!“
“It was a long time since I've been there but I remember going there since 30- 40 years ago still a nice authentic place to eat a plate of spaghetti and a bottle of wine for dinner. Many Italian choices that deserve to be eaten with a bottle of wine.“
“I am shocked there are few really great Italian eateries in Bakersfield, but Frugatti's is one that I would miss if I left here! The food is delicious, and I've only had an issue one time where I ordered the Gluten-free Rotini and there was barely any meat/sauce on it. That was one off time out of 10. I also could have asked for some when I noticed but didn't make a fuss. Every other time was delicious. It feels good. It's not generic, and they have great service. The new location is literally beautiful and feels so nice. Awesome place to do anything from a family dinner, to a work lunch. Date night, or even fancier.“
“We had a excellent dinner! The owner checked on us several times to make sure everything was perfect!Vegetarian options: They have many pasta dishes.Wheelchair accessibility: Parking lot has plenty of handicap spots up front and is easy for a wheelchair to get in and out.“
“We just picked up Venice (ham & cheese) sandwiches from Caesar’s ll Deli on Wilson and Stine. We have been going there for 40+ years. The sandwiches on seeded Pyrenees rolls are great and the employees are very nice. Their Spumoni is the best!“
“The gnocchi was absolutely fantastic, some of the best I’ve ever had (and I’ve been to Italy). It was quiet and not too busy, so good atmosphere for a dinner, and excellent service. The cheese bruschetta and the beef minestrone were delicious starters.“
“I’ve always enjoyed the food and the Luigi’s experience and last night just added to that! I hosted a surprise party in their warehouse and it was phenomenal! Their staff is amazing! From start to finish, they delivered! From their detailed-oriented event coordinator, Lis Clarke, to their friendly, attentive, and fun staff—I am thoroughly impressed! All of my large events will be held at Luigi’s from now on!“
