My recent experience at Applebee's was extremely disappointing and concerning due to a severe mistake regarding dietary restrictions. I ordered the Whiskey Burger without bacon and without the Whiskey sauce. My daughter ordered a grilled cheese burger and specifically asked the waiter to ensure there was no bacon. The waiter confirmed that the dish did not contain bacon.
​However, after my daughter had eaten half of her burger, we discovered that the sauce used on the grilled cheese burger actually contained bacon/pork ingredients. As a Muslim family, we do not consume pork, and we made this clear when ordering. This mistake was not only a failure to communicate correct information about the ingredients but a significant oversight that violated a critical dietary restriction.
​While my own modified burger was acceptable, the service error regarding my daughter's meal was unacceptable. I was deeply frustrated that the waiter provided incorrect and misleading information about the ingredients, causing a serious issue for our family. Management needs to train staff thoroughly on all ingredients, especially when a customer explicitly requests information about common allergens or dietary restrictions like pork.

Been going to Applebee's for as long as i can remember, food is always on point and they have great deals. Aaron is the prefect bartender, stop by and have a cold one highly recommended!

The food was good, well prepared, and seemed to use quality ingredients. The coffee was delicious. Don't look at the calories in the menu though. Most items are high calorie. Just eat and enjoy.

I had a busy night and Kevin the manager made everything easy. He helped us get seated fast, made sure drink orders were correct, and checked in several times. He’s friendly, professional, and has a real knack for calming the chaos. Big plus for his sense of humor . made our night.

Bad service took a very long time to get food was not cooked well very runny sauces for Mac and cheese look like water And when I told manager he said nothing Very unhappy with going there will not ever go back again

I love, love, love Applebee's..! As always.., but it is so nice when you have quality service to make your experience count. Aaron was our bartender and made a fabulous blue raspberry lemon drop. To-die-for..! So good. Dinner, of course was excellent. We are so happy with Bakersfield's finest choices in dining. Thank you

I had the absolute PLEASURE of waltzing into Applebee’s Bar + Grill for Happy Hour on 07/19/2025 with my best friend. We invited ourselves to the bar tops and received what could only be described as WORLD CLASS SERVICE!

Jenn was our bartender/server and as person in real estate sales, I know first hand the skill it takes to work with multiple different personalities simultaneously. Jenn could write the book and host a MASTERCLASS on how this is done! Jenn’s effervescent vibes coupled with her keen knowledge of products made for the most enjoyable experience. Whether it was her humorous exchanges with us and two other couples, her sweet and demure interactions with a couple in their 80’s, or the gentlemen who found solace at the end of the bar having a draft beer, Jenn curated an environment amongst us all that felt like we were at a mixer where our presence was appreciated and valued! I wanted to remind people that in today’s climate, it is a wondrous gift to step into an establishment and be greeted by a professional who has the capability to CREATE a great atmosphere through organic and lasting chemistry resulting in a threaded appreciation for the one thing we all had in common at that moment: Choosing Applebee’s! You may never see this Jenn but we thank you for the food, fun, and fabulous service!
