Baba's Hot Chicken

Our first time coming, everything was amazing taste, good halal burger option in Bakersfield.

So this was my first time there and I ordered a few things to get a good feel for it. So I’ll give my thoughts on everything, starting on experience with ordering (along with food out of 10).Atmosphere and staff: Super friendly, and not much was actually inside. There are only a couple tables, which was fine since I ordered to go.Food: I ordered Baba’s chicken sandwich (hot spice level), fries, and the Mac n cheese.The chicken sandwich was good, but there was a spice that kind of put me off. It tasted like cumin, and was very reminiscent of taco seasoning. Good spice level though. For that reason I’d give it a 7 out of 10.The fries were crinkle cut and were nice and crispy. They were also thick and very potato-y, if that makes sense. 8.5 out of 10.The Mac n cheese was good, but not incredible. It seemed to have a different type of cheese or something mixed in, which was kind of a nice surprise. 7.5 out of 10.So all in all not bad. I would go again, but probably try the grilled cheese. I was intrigued.

I love the Hot flavor. It starts from classic to extreme and I always stop for the hot chicken sandwich ? with fries and font forget the house on the side.

Baba's Hot Chicken has a lot going for it in a good way. The service is friendly, and atmosphere is nice and the food tastes great! My first time there I got the medium heat chicken tenders. For the size, I think it's a good price.Also, if the color looks off, its my camera. The food looks as good as it tastes.

The nicest people and the crispiest chicken Sammy ever. I ordered the medium and got a classic for my sensitive palate daughter. I also got the fried chicken loaded fries and the limited edition nachos (which are potato chips and not corn). The spice is a nice rub...not gloppy sauce. However, the secret babas sauce is avail for smothering and dipping. Ask about the secret chicken grilled cheese that's not on the menu! You're welcome! Small cozy indoor and outdoor seating. Wheelchair accessible with wide entries. Wooden classic High chairs avail and safe atmosphere for rambunctious kids. Order to go via door dash grub hub and others. Right next door to Randy's donuts so you can't miss it. The most important thing for me, personally, was the Halal chicken.

Kid-friendliness: The area is not crowded with un necessary clutter. There are wooden high chairs.

Parking: This is a strip mall type area so there's a Huge parking lot. Please be respectful and don't park in the single space reserved for grub hub and door dash delivery drivers. It benefits anyone to walk 25 extra feet. I watched several people park there and walk over to the donut shop despite the fact there's about 100 other spaces to park.

Wheelchair accessibility: Wide entry doors but they're not automated.

Dietary restrictions: Halal chicken, though it's not posted, it is on the website.

Everything is delicious. It's pricey but worth it. I always go for mild and that's perfect. Hot is a bit too hot for me.

This place is superb! Forget about Popeyes, Raising Canes, and Chick-fil-A - Baba's Hot Chicken is absolutely superior in taste. Cooked to order, the levels of spiciness are exquisite. They are temporarily serving chicken wraps and they are absolutely delicious:Crispy tender chicken coated with your taste of heat paired with juicy slaw all wrapped in a lightweight wrap... drenched in their house sauce and even a drip of creamy cheddar cheese.I highly recommend you try out their food. Got to try Nashville hot chicken!! And halal too ?. Be cautious, it really is spicy ? thank goodness we didn’t go for extreme. Loved the food!

I loved every last bite. Super dank to say the least. I wish there was way more coleslaw but next time I'll ask. Way exceeded my expectations and smashed on angry chicks. My wife loved it as much as I did too.

I love this place! The employees and owners are very professional and friendly. The chicken is very moist, flavorful, and delicious - and I highly recommend the sandwich! The mini combo is plenty of food, and the regular is massive, so either come with a huge appetite or be prepared for leftovers. The heat levels are lower than many competitors, but the flavor more than makes up for it. I personally prefer it when the chicken actually tastes good instead of just being spicy for the sake of spicy, and that's what I found here at Baba's. Also, the mac and cheese is perfectly creamy and has good flavor as well. I have been twice so far, and will definitely be back again next time I need to satisfy my fried or Nashville hot chicken craving!

I just went with my family for Father’s Day and the food was AMAZING. The chicken was nice, juicy, and tender with the right amount of spice. The mac and cheese was DIVINE. It wasn’t too cheesy like most places, but it was delicious and creamy. I hope everyone knows if you are considering making a visit to Baba’s again, do it! You won’t regret it. It was a breath of fresh air to taste great hot chicken with excellent flavor.

Delicious!! Definitely recommend, we had the mild sandwich with French fries and it was super good!!! My kids loved the loaded fries. Hidden gem ?

The recent reviews were giving me mix feelings about trying this place out but I have to say don’t let the reviews fool you the Cheesy Baba was chefs kiss it has 2 grilled cheeses as the buns and I got the extreme hot chicken it was so delicious this is my new spot to get a chicken sandwich Ive never had a chicken sandwich like this and the staff was really helpful and I like how clean and fresh it was inside

This is more based on MY personal taste. I was expecting a sandwich with a spicy sauce (Raising Cane’s/Popeyes style). This sandwich has a spice rub all over it. I got the medium heat sandwich and was not spicy at all for me. It is EXTREMELY coated with spice all over the sandwich and the flavor was okay for me. The fries were crispy, and good. Not sure what I was expecting, but I thought it would’ve been a little more flavorful.Besides that, the staff was great. The location was clean, and the wait time wasn’t bad.

Perfect chicken Sandwich! Really recommend hot level with the side of fried pickles. Definitely will be back again!
