Food was good except our waitress wasn't very attentive. We had to ask for silverware, refills, etc

We arrived 10 min early and were told by the hostess that she would come get us at the bar, she never did. We eventually had to return to the hostess station to ask about our table. The bartender struggled to make my wife's drink correctly, and she just forced it down. After we were seated, our waitress took our food and drink orders. When our food arrived, the green beans were overcooked (borderline burned), and the drinks took a long time to come out. Once again, my wife's drink was made incorrectly. After we recieved our food, the waitress checked on us once, despite stopping by the two tables next to us three or four times each. Overall, the service and drinks were terrible, though the food itself was ok.

Our last visit to Black Angus was about 7-8 years ago in Valencia, CA. Tonight, my husband made a dinner reservation at Black Angus in Bakersfield, CA. The whole experience was truly wonderful—from the perfect temperature and presentation of the food to the wide variety of main courses and side dishes that suited most appetites. Our server, Maya, was absolutely fantastic; she genuinely cared about making sure we had a great time. Her attentive service when taking our orders, her knowledge of the menu, and quick drink refills truly showed her dedication. Mr. Nathaniel even stopped by our table to check on us, providing thoughtful and sincere service that added a personal, caring touch. While other staff members are likely to offer similar kindness, I especially recommend asking for Maya and Mr. Nathaniel for a truly memorable meal. Don’t forget to sign up for their rewards program, as Maya suggested—you can start earning rewards on your visit and use them right away! The atmosphere here is warm, friendly, and inviting, from the moment you park in a clean, well-lit parking lot to when you head to the clean, well-stocked bathroom. Even tonight, when the place was busy, they still made us feel special with their personal attention and had no delay in serving us.

I never liked sirloin steak in my life. It was always kind of stingy and chewy, but the sirloin I had at Black Angus was one of the best steaks I ever ate. It was tender and juicy and tasted great. I will be back for this.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5 The food at this restaurant was absolutely delicious — everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The service was just okay, but it seemed our server was handling a lot of tables at once, so I understand things got a bit hectic. There were a few small issues: when our drinks were dropped off, my drink was accidentally spilled, and I had to use my only napkin to clean it up. Unfortunately, I didn't get a replacement napkin until the busser noticed. Later, my server forgot my salad and then the ice cream for dessert. I eventually had to ask another server to bring the ice cream. Despite those hiccups, the food really stood out and made up for the service delays. I'd definitely come back for the food alone, and I'm hopeful next time the service will match the quality coming out of the kitchen.

Worst service I've had at any restaurant in many years. Don't go in as a single dude at the bar... you'll be ignored and left hanging.

Would normally leave a decent tip...tonight, not so much. If a zero star were available here, I would have given it.

This restaurant was close to our hotel, and it was late, so we chose to eat there. We both remarked it had been "quite a few years" since we had eaten at a Black Angus. I had the salmon, broccoli & baked potato. Salmon was very good. Potato was a bit mealy. Broccoli was overcooked. Husband had the 12 oz New York strip, salad & green beans. He said it was a great steak, as ordered. Large salad & good green beans. Our server was attentive & pleasant. Despite being a Monday night and somewhat after what we consider the dinner hour, the restaurant was full and noisy. We would eat here again, hoping for a time it wasn't so crowded & noisy.

From Garrison's greeting to being seated, the experience was pleasurable. April's introduction as our server became remarkable. Her suggestions were helpful in plotting our meals. The food from the wedge salads to the prime rib entrees was outstanding.

Amazing experience, service was a little slow but as the evening progressed the service got better, staff was amazing, worked well together, and communicated well. The only thing I would change is the time because I usually eat dinner between 5:00-5:30pm.
