The food is really nasty. They use something that makes the chicken really chewy and nasty. The man with the beard is really straight to the point and really unhelpful. i am not sure if he is the owner as he was alone but he is really pushy and tries to get you out of there. Every other employee ive encountered here has a conversation with me ask me how my day was. Nope, not this dude. If he isnt the owner he should be fired or talked to immediately!!!! The brewery is the only good thing about coming to this horrible food truck. as someone said this place is really consistent at being inconsistent. Ever since they left some gas station on coffee road they have gone extremely downhill. They used to treat people with smiles and enthusiasm. now it looks like hatred in their face towards you and their food most certainly reflects that. Im surprised they are opening a restaurant. i wonder if thatll be another 10 year or less business. I hope they figure it out.

The chicken was bland and extremely oily. It was a first and last time for me.

Ran out of wings and ranch then took 29 minutes to get me two orders of tenders and a side of fries when it was busy and with bitchy service

I don’t like leaving bad reviews, but I have to be honest—this was one of the most disappointing meals I’ve had in a long time.

I had always heard great things about Bucky’s, so when my friend suggested it for dinner, I was genuinely excited. But that excitement quickly faded. The food truck was tucked away in an alley, surrounded by trash and dirt—not exactly the most inviting setting, but I was willing to overlook it for good food.

After ordering, we waited an agonizing 20-25 minutes for our food. I was expecting something fresh and worth the wait, but when I got home and opened the bag, the disappointment hit hard. The food looked great, but the taste told a completely different story.

I started with the fries—soggy, bland, and utterly lifeless. Not a single trace of seasoning. Then came the chicken. I ordered both a tender and a sandwich, and let me tell you, I wish I hadn’t. The chicken was drenched in oil, yet somehow still painfully dry and completely flavorless. I kept taking bites, hoping it would get better, but it never did.

What makes this worse? We had passed Angry Chicks and Popeyes—both solid choices—to support a small business. And unfortunately, that turned out to be a huge mistake. I wanted to love this place, but it failed at every level.

Bucky’s, I don’t know what happened, but this was a disaster. I won’t be coming back.

Never fails to amaze me how good this chicken is ! Delicious and very fulfilling from the chicken sando to the honcho to the tenders and wings I love it all! I usually stick with a medium tried hot once and had me sweating through my meal lmao. But if you can handle the heat it’s delicious. They’re pretty quick with their service it’s nice to be able to go into the bar and have a quick drink while you eat. Also really enjoy when they have their lemonades to pair with their food a must try. Good to order ahead if you don’t want to have to wait it can get busy at dinner time but it’s always worth the wait for me

Bucky's was it's prime when it was located at the gas station the chicken was really good the sandwich seems a bit smaller but still filling the Fry's are pretty terrible they are very soggy and almost wet like and they used to throw in one free Bucky's sauce in each combo now it's like 1.25 a sauce which is ridiculous if you order a combo at least one free Bucky's sauce wouldn't hurt I been with Bucky's from the original spot downtown as well now the food truck spot with inflation and everything it wouldn't hurt to throw in a one Bucky's sauce for people who order combos
Oh yeah the hours are never consistent you may find yourself going to a close truck the schedule is like Russian roulette

The fries were good, Bucky’s sauce was very sour like a very vinegary flavor not sure if that’s an ingredient but it’s what I got out of it and did not like it. The tenders were a bit dry.

I eat spicy food all the time and their extra hot chicken sandwich was legitimately the spiciest thing I've ever had. Even if you like spicy food I'd start out with the next level down. My whole life was messed up from that sandwich but big respect for the heat, it was pretty tasty too even though I couldn't finish it.

This truck is easily one of the greatest hot chicken sandwich in BakersfieldFrom the well seasoned beautifully cooked chicken to the their custom fries to their delicious sauces. They honestly check every box for a hot chicken sandwich place. It’s like a hidden spot that not everyone know about. If you haven’t tried it and love chicken sandwiches then you need to drive over there like RIGHT NOW!!! ❤️??

Service is a bit slow but really friendly staff. Their fries are to die for! Highly recommend the wings and fries. The sliders can feed 2!

This chicken is perfect. Do not toy with the medium unless you scoff at the hottest of Thai food. It is one of the only times I've failed to finish my food, needless to say i was so impressed by the flavor that i had to go back for the mild. Them being next to Off the Rails makes it all the better, pair it with their Stout beer.
