I bought combo B with butter shrimp (no more honey walnut but it's very good) and orange chicken. Delicious! Thai tea too.They will change the name to Happy Dragon soon.I paid 16 for this delicious meal. Thank you!

This place is a hidden gem! The key is to order the a la carte. You can't go wrong with beef, chicken, or the shrimp fried rice, beef chow fun, and mushroom chicken. My only complaint is that the sauces on their entrees are too runny. Price-3 Flavor-4.5 Portions-5 Service-n/a

I love this place! I move back to Bakersfield a year and a half ago and was disappointed to find most of the Chinese restaurants I used to love are now terrible. Cafe Express never lets me down! Their honey walnut shrimp is super crispy, their Kung Pao chicken has a ton of flavor, the WAR Wonton soup is delicious and their Mapo Tofu is perfectly soft, spicy and saucy. The portion size is enough to feed Two very hungry adults or one person for 2-3 meals. This place is just as good as the quick service Chinese restaurants in Orange County. I am so glad I found it!

First time here. I was a little skeptical in coming here. Only reason I decided to order food here, because it was my mothers idea. We ordered the Orange chicken and Sweet & Sour chicken w/ half in half of chow mein/fried rice. Food was tasteless. I would have had Panda Express instead. The place was dirty and service wasn't good. Do not recommend.

My husband and I tried Cafe Express for the first time last night on a whim and were SO pleasantly surprised! We ordered shrimp fried rice, pork buns, beef and broccoli, egg flower soup and chicken lo mein and everything was *chef’s kiss*We also ordered a boba milk tea and it was delicious! The portions were very generous and we had plenty of leftovers which was awesome and everything re-heated perfectly. We will definitely be ordering again!

First Asian food I've had since moving back from Hilo, Hi. & I'll be ordering again. I always try to take a picture of the food when it arrives but after eating just one of the 8 deep fried sesame balls, taking a picture was quickly forgotten. Finished off all 8 of those, cream cheese wontons, potstickers, & egg rolls. Fantastic food!

Great Chinese food. The chicken and fries were also fantastic. Try the pork foo yung (even if I spelled it wrong) and the hot and sour soup. Be warned that service may be VERY slow because it appears that everything is prepared fresh. Therefore, we always call in our orders.
