Cafe Rio Fresh Modern Mexican

First time here, and we ordered off the catering menu. The presentation was so bad that I had to replate all the food. The enchiladas were in a tray with a glob of cheese, making it hard to find them—you had to cut them like lasagna. The taste was okay, but the service and cleanliness of the dining area were very poor. The trash can was full, and there was food on the tables and floors. I’m glad I was just picking up takeout.

One of my FAVORITE food service establishments. Last visit we waited 15 minutes past the opening time until we found another door open so we had to let the staff know of the locked door. Meals are prepared right in front of you. My favorite is the sweet pork tacos. Ask for the pico in the side because it’s very juicy and makes the tortilla too soggy. (Easy fix for that perfect taco!) Sometimes the staff is not fully engaged in the prep of my meal. Dining room is adequate and parking lot is as well. There is an EV charging station right outdoors as well.

Worst veggie burrito I’ve ever had and terrible service

Not impressed, and poor customer service. Not worth the money or time in line.
Do better.

When I ate there I got a bowl and there ended up being water at the bottom of it, the salsa/cut veggies either weren't cut fresh or they were expired when added into the ingredients, I got home and had to get lemon and salt to season it because the chicken tasted so bland. I prefer chipotle, not sure if cafe rio cooks all their stuff fresh. Kinda had a refrigerator taste to it.

Love Cafe Rio! Fresh, fresh, great! I love that I can build my perfect meal. I probably won't order the quesadilla again. It was super cheesy for me, but I love the tostada or the salad!!

I have mixed feelings about this place. First and foremost I visited this location on 2/15/24 and appx 630pm. Ordered a BEEF Barbacoa burrito. Went to pay and the cashier asked me what kind of meat I got and told him I received the beef. He told me they didn't have beef but the girl who prepared my meal put in the sweet PORK barbacoa instead. I was hungry and accepted it. But how dumb to think she could pull a fast one on me or any other customer as if we couldn't tell the difference. It was insulting and as a matter of fact a couple came back to complain about the very same thing.This place also has no carne asada as a staple? What's up with that??? Carne asada is a staple to a majority of Mexican cuisine.

I came in to order a taco salad. Alfonso helped make my food and was super nice to me even when I had difficulty understanding how the process worked. He suggested I try the chicken and wow he was right! Delicious! By the end of our interaction I felt like I had made a new friend. Top notch customer service!!!
