Carniceria El Amigazo

I jumps off of 5 and headed straight to the Carniceria El Amigazo..Why you ask.. would an out of towner like myself go clear across the city, bypassing dozens of Mexican Restaurants to get to a Mexican Carniceria? Well, I tell you why, so listen up Pilgrim, because I'm only saying it once!
The Carniceria El Amigazo puts out some of the best Mexican food I've ever had, and I've enjoyed Mexican food from Ensonada to Seattle! The Tacos de carnitas grande are Amazing! ☆☆☆☆☆

The food here is absolutely delicious! I ordered the carnitas plate and my husband got a piping hot bowl of menudo. The carnitas was the best I’ve EVER had and the menudo was incredible. The service was also really good. Everyone was very friendly and professional. We’ll be back everytime we’re coming through Bakersfield

Not worth it! Don't recommend. Saw 2 untouched plates on a table and I wondered why until I got mine 🤬
I added so much lime it didn't help out.
Don't come throw you money away here!
Spent 100 on food and drinks. Would've gone to McDonald's instead

Authentic and delicious. Tender meat, great sauces, cheap prices, what more could you ask for?

This place used to be good but honestly it’s true if u go early morning they will give u leftovers from the day before!!!! I ordered carnitas & menudo & it did not taste fresh!!! If u guna do that at least let us know & not charge full price!!!!! Never again!!!!!!

The attention is very good! But I think they really need someone who knows how to make carnitas

If you love chicharrones, carnitas bomb beans & rice…. Come to Carnicería El Amigazo the best in town! The food was rich in taste and flavors. I mean, it was dancing on my tastebuds. You know when you eat something so good it makes you want to do backflips even though you don’t know how? That’s what it’s like when you take your first bite. 100% real deal Holyfield. There are times when the food is just right , maybe because we feel the need to eat ,but honestly at times the food is just really bad , flies everywhere ,health department needs to check on this place , they won’t disclose some of the prices so they can jack up the total on your invoice ticket . The way the calculate the total at times it won’t match the price that it’s posted ,if it is.
Good place to eat if you don’t know how the food should taste , the owner should eat and feed his family with that food . Period . And be prepared to kill some flies while you eat.

I liked the food but I recommend paying attention to the pests, especially the flies, because every time I come I don't know whether to eat or shoo away the flies.

Do NOT go early in the morning because you will be getting their reheated leftovers! And they are not good. We purchased about 1.5lbs of carnitas and literally received oil soaked scraps! The worst part is that the majority of clients that go in the a.m. are usually farm workers. This, to me, is unacceptable. We did go back and the manager confirmed that it was the leftovers and tried to rectify the problem. My issue is why sell it in the first place and at the same price? I'm just disappointed because this isn't the first time they've done this and I keep going back because they are usually good but this is definitely my last time going there.
