Initially this place was great. Food was good, great sides and service. However, the last couple of months, it seems the management thinks bbq without baked beans is the way to go. Also the had great fried pickles and even better cheese curds that are also not on the menu anymore. Don't go as often anymore as these changesAre not good decisions for me. Only positive is Mattie.

Stood at the door waiting for 30 min. 5 different employees walked by us and looked at us but offered no service. We were standing there juggling the baby around. Finally we just left, I’d rather go somewhere that is happy to have customers.

If there was a negative star i would definitely choose that. i went there last night and the service was horrible !! bathrooms were disgusting, drinking cups were gross and old seem like someone peed in them, plus we waited over 2 hours to get the nastiest food ever, the meat in my food was raw and i asked for a coffe and it was cold, the fries were stale, everything was horrible, never going there again ! my friends who were with me got the same service and we all hated it, they needa close this place down

Tri tip was very unflavored and dry..TOTAL WASTE OF MY MONEY .. .Tastes like previously frozen food and Definitely not fresh .. .We love bbq and if u want good BBQ this is NOT the place to eat ..
I am from the southeast so BBQ is different everywhere you go. This was near the hotel but can be tricky to find or get to because of the traffic on MH Blvd. The place seemed popular and the dining area basic and a bit worn. I wanted the tri tip as it's not something you can get everywhere. The menu said they often run out versus reusing pre smoked meat. I found it hard to believe as both the smoked turkey and tri tip came out cold. The smoked turkey was moist and very good. The tri tip was good but a bit tough and the end piece inedible. Liked the sauce and ordered the baked beans which really had good flavor were nice and hot. Service was friendly and highly attentive. They handled the dining area, bar and take out with ease. I would go back again.

Staff was nice, decent. Restaurant is clean and bathrooms. The food is the problem. Tasted old, tri tip was old and super dry. Inedible. Sides were sloppy, no flavor and just wrong. Really didn’t like anything I ate. Spent about $23 out the door for 2 meat n drink meal. No plans to ever go back. I had the pit beef, pulled pork, baked beans, mash, corn bread.About a year ago I was really pleased w my sandwich. Not sure what happened. Sadly disappointed.

Stopped by for dinner and I was pleasantly impressed with the food. I ordered fried pickles which were delicious and it was paired with a creole dip and a ranch dip. For dinner I had a pulled pork plate and added a spare rib, had a side of potato salad and baked beans which the beans were really flavorful which is a plus. And my waitress gave great customer service as well. Only missed opportunity was the cornbread but with that I give this establishment a solid 4.5
