Great for a game of pool! Or 50!

The first time I came here was for a tournament and the owner greeted me with a smile and hand shake. He was very knowledgeable about the billiard world. All the staff was friendly and nice and I had the best cheeseburger I ever ate in a pool hall. This is a pool players pool hall and it is maintained very well. The room is also very clean and all the tables are well kept. There are alot of high end pool tables like Predator and Diamond. I didn't mind the 125-mile drive since the atmosphere was positive and everyone was here to play pool and have a good time. If I didn't live so far I would be here every day.

I run junior billiards clinics, casual and major junior pool tournaments at Corner Pocket in Bakersfield. Having a family friendly environment is extremely important for these events and Corner Pocket has just such an environment. Staff is courteous and welcoming, the poolroom is large, with adequate room for eating & parents watching, the room is well lit, they have good food and the equipment is very good. Everyone always has a great time at the events. I highly recommend this room.

They do a great job kicking out minors for breaking state laws and trying to smuggle in alcohol!

A nice clean pool hall. Tables and equipment kept in tip top shape for all players. Great food and good beer selection.

I’ve been to Bakersfield three times from Leeds, England to see family. We visit Corner Pocket every time for Pool and drinks. Bar staff are friendly, good jukebox, prices are reasonable and a cool vibe!

Excellent tables and friendly staff made my stay very enjoyable. I got there early before it started getting crowded. Awesome place to play in Bakersfield!

Felt unwelcomed once I entered and the staff was rude. WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN!!!!

I’m not a person to complain or write reviews, but sadly I got racist vibes from this place. Would recommend going somewhere else if you’re a minority.

i truly enjoy the vibe and idea of this place. and i love a good game of pool for a good price however all spanish music is unavailable at corner pocket and i don’t see why. also a bartender screamed at my brother in law to keep his drink off the table. a simple reminder would have worked. she literally yelled at him across the building and embarrassed him in front of the whole place. i understand this place has rules. but was that behavior really necessary? i see corner pocket responding to the reviews saying they are racist. if you are not racist let me play vicente fernandez without skipping my song.

i appreciate you agreeing with me and saying it was wrong to yell at a guest from across the building. but saying you are 100% positive we were reminded several times? please check your math and speak with dignity, i was actually there and we were not reminded until your lovely bartender decided to scream at my brother in law. as for the jukebox, i’ve been to multiple other bars and restaurants with the same jukebox. all other places with this jukebox allow spanish music. don’t blame your decision of no spanish music on the jukebox company? we all know that isn’t true! highly disappointing response from you corner pocket. be better please i truly enjoy this spot.

Never had problems with this place until recently. They supposedly had “$8 margaritas on Mondays” and I ordered two, gave them a 20 & did not receive any change.
I also ordered a Bloody Mary that was supposed to be “$8” but said they had to use a different liquor which was absolute vodka. A cheap liquor cuz they ran out. & ended up charging me $12 . Won’t be coming here anymore after that. They give off racist vibes

They literally never have anything wings. And even removed all of the Spanish music from the juke box. So can’t even play pool and hear music I like cause of what I assume is discrimination. DO BETTER, BE BETTER.

Had my bachelor's party here and it was a good time. I'm not good at pool but I had a good time trying. The wings are awesome and the lady behind the bar is awesome ? thank you ?
