Best breakfasts ever! This will be out go to restaurant whenever we are in Bakersfield. Great service, wonderful food and a very enticing store! Well done!

Food quality has gone way down. Suggested it for a group, about a third of which had never been to a Cracker Barrel. And it wouldn't surprise me if they never go back. The biscuits were hard and dry. The cornbread was somehow both dense and dry. The gravy was sort of sour/vinegary and no flavor. Not sure how to explain that one. Even the eggs were "ehh." The country fried steak itself was okay but came smothered in flavorless vinegary gravy. Many people did not finish their meal. I don't know what's happened but you need to fix it and fast. On top of less than stellar food the waiter kept talking in acronyms which was difficult for a seasoned CB patron like myself to follow. Not sure much of anyone else in the group had any clue what he was saying. "Grandma's with HBC and Apples," "FT with HBC" or "CFS with Mac and dumplings" is not how you figure out who had what meals. This was a mix of disappointing and embarrassing. Yes, the menu used to be more limited. Like twenty different configurations of like twenty food items. But it was fantastic! It tasted good. The quality was good. The gravy actually tasted like country gravy. It was all good food. Didn't matter if you ordered breakfast or lunch/dinner plates. What we had tonight was not. Lifelong Cracker Barrel patron from Louisiana. Highly unlikely we'll go back unless we hear there are changes made.

🥰Whenever I drive through Bakersfield, I always leave home earlier than I need to just so I can stop at Cracker Barrel to have breakfast, even if it's a late breakfast!

Old fashioned home food. Grits, gravey, ham steaks, crispy edged pancakes with maple syrup. Bone warming fire in hearth. Hot cup of strong coffee.

Very quaint with some southern charm. The gift shop was neat with a lot of items to chose from- all organized by theme. The food was good old fashioned comfort food from the south. My waitress was nice and helpful with the menu.

Had a horrible experience. Went there at 2 pm today. Didn't get my food till 250. Ordered appetizers, fried pickels and loaded mac'n'cheese tots waited for it never got it until my main meal which was steak and grilled chicken. Started eating the apitizers, which were somewhat alright, but when I took a bite of my new york steak, it was pretty much beef jerky which I know for a fact I ordered it medium rare took 2 bites of the steak and left it there, the grilled chicken i left without even touching it. Waitress apologized for giving me the appetizers with the main meal and she said she was gonna remove it from my tab, but never actually did. Went up to pay left a 50 cent tip, let the management know about the experience.

I've been eating at Crackerbarrel restaurants for quite a number of years. I have never had a bad meal at any of them. This location in Bakersfield is no different. The service is great and the food excellent .
