Last review was 6 years ago, time for an update. Might not be the absolute best taco you've ever had but it is very very good and consistent. Their home made hot sauces are outstanding. Highly recommend, limited outdoor seating

This was my first time at Dave's Tacos. I was surprised that they didn't serve beans and rice with the tacos but I decided to try them anyway. I asked for utensils and they didn't have any of those either. The tacos were good but super spicy. I'm not sure if I will go back.

Definitely worth trying. Been working at the hospital across the street lately, and I had to try this spot. I loved both the Mild and Spicy salsa. I've been sending co-workers and I've heard nothing but good remarks about their experience.

I have been going to Dave’s for over 30 years. Best street tacos in the nation! It’s their signature sauce that is Priceless, that adds that hunger for more that they use on top. Fresh, always made from scratch with quality ingredients. Family owned. Loved by all!
Parking: Free parking on the lot of Dave’s Taco’s at the Chester location in Bakersfield.
Kid-friendliness: They have two family size tables to sit and eat at.

Serving Bakersfield since 1982, Dave’s taco has sold street tacos for some time. Their hot red salsa is delicious, and their carne asada is marinated well, but could use a little more salt in my opinion. Fresh onions and cilantro are delicious.The parking lot could be updated, and they could at least add a canopy or two and add additional tables so other’s can sit and eat.The hours are limited, not open late, and actually closed on the weekends. Seems like a missed opportunity for more sales volume.At $3 a taco now, I am not likely to come back anytime soon.

Dave's is historic, from Taco Truck to Standing Taco Shop. I ate at the truck in high school and the taco shop to date!!!
