I’d rate this place a 10 if I could. The tacos are absolutely amazing. The shrimp cocktail is amazing. Very friendly staff. It gives off a family owned vibe but I cannot confirm.

My husband and I stopped here on a whim, and I'm pleased that we did! The food was amazing, everything hand made from the sopes to the tortillas. I had the Cochinita taco that came with its own special hot sauce, and it was amazing! We also had the Tijuana tacos and carne asada sope, and they were delicious as well. They have a salsa bar that includes grilled onions, serranos, cucumbers and radishes. Will definitely be back. Give this place a try. You won't be disappointed.

The food is excellent! Their quesobirria tacos are great, and you can't go wrong with any of the similar items on the menu. In addition, their horchata and jamaica are excellent. Never had any problems with service, and from what I've seen (not in person, as stated above) the owner and staff are kind.

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying an amazing hot quesadilla and torta, and both were absolutely delicious!
The quesadilla was served fresh off the griddle, perfectly crisp on the outside and oozing with melted cheese inside. The fillings were generously portioned and packed with flavor. The balance between the gooey cheese, tender meat (I had the carne asada), and the warm, lightly toasted tortilla was perfection. Every bite was rich and satisfying, with just the right amount of spice. It was the kind of meal that makes you slow down just to savor every mouthful.
The torta was equally impressive. The bread was soft but sturdy, toasted to golden perfection. Inside, it was layered with juicy, seasoned meat (he chose carne asada), fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and creamy avocado. The combination of textures—crunchy veggies, tender meat, and creamy sauces—made for a mouthwatering experience. Each bite was an explosion of flavors, from the rich savoriness of the meat to the fresh and tangy toppings.
Both the quesadilla and the torta were packed with authentic flavors and prepared with care. If you’re craving Mexican comfort food done right, these two are must-tries!

Amazing tacos and a great local taco shop in downtown Bakersfield. You have to try their Birria tacos that made us keep going back.
Very disappointing experience at this taco shop. The food was cold when it was brought to the table. The condiments tasted and looked old. The crunchy pinwheels were stale. Overall not a great experience and for the price of the food it should at least be hot and fresh.

This establishments food was so good! With all the taco stands and Mexican restaurants in town this restaurant stood out to me for their flavors. My family and I ordered around 4 different items from the menu and each item had its own unique flavor. The waitress was accommodating , the cooks were friendly when asked a question I had. I recommend this hidden jewel to everyone

We found this shop on our drive from north Texas to Sequoia National Park. Luis gave us a thorough explanation of the tacos while we placed our order. We enjoyed visiting with him and hearing that he once lived in an area near where we live The food and service were outstanding and I highly recommend this taco spot if you're traveling through Bakersfield!
