Worst meal I’ve had in years. Food was cold. Group of about 12 loud and obnoxious patrons contributed to a less than pleasant atmosphere. One employee was particularly rude and unhelpful.

Flame & Skewers on California Ave has become our go-to location, and the reason is simple: AJ. From the moment you walk in, he greets you with a smile and the kind of genuine customer service you rarely find anymore. He not only remembers our order but takes a moment (when time permits) to check in and have a real conversation—it makes the experience feel personal every single time.

Our orders are always spot-on, down to the smallest detail. This last visit I went with the falafel wrap and their crinkle-cut fries (the best in town, no question). The food is consistently fresh and flavorful, but it’s AJ’s dedication and hospitality that keep us loyal to this location.

Thanks for setting the standard high, brother. This place wouldn’t be the same without you.

I placed a pick up order on door dash when I arrived a few mins before pick up time he said just a few more minutes…. I was perfectly fine with that… until every person that came in got there food.. eventually I’m assuming he is the manager who was leaving food in the window while he was too busy have outside conversations infront of everybody. Even the cook had to knock on the food window and to get his attention a few times… 45 mins later I’m still waiting for my pick up order and each time he said a little bit longer which didn’t make any sense to me seeing how I ordered almost an hour ago and the restaurant was not busy at all because the cook was taking breaks in between tickets . I ended up just walking out and I got my refund from door dash. This is the worst experience I have ever had at this place which is sad because the food is really good the previous times I’ve had it. sadly this time I couldn’t tell you if it was good seeing how I never got it .

Okay okay, this place first of all the person who was in the drive through taking orders the person had pink hair, they were quick I am actually pleased with this place fast pace order give outs and clarity of the way they took the order, everything was correct and the food was all actually made correctly by this place. To be honest they were friendly and gave me everything as it should be. Thank you guys keep up the good work.

Large, clean, and welcoming, this restaurant offers authentic Mediterranean cuisine with excellent flavor and freshness. We sampled several menu items and highly recommend the Beef and Chicken Shawarma Bowls. The Falafel and Hummus sides were also standout favorites.

If you're a garlic lover, don’t miss the garlic sauce—it pairs perfectly with their crisp, delicious fries. Portions are generous, service is great, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit.
