Garrison's Seafood Express Rosedale

First time here. Their clam chowder is delicious and their shrimp is the best I have ever had. Will be door dashing for sure.

I ordered 3 cat fish, fries and 2 orders of jumbo shrimp last night. I've had Garrisons before and I love the cat fish..I prefer it over the cod. But last night the fish wasn't the same since they moved buildings. The fish was too crispy I couldn't taste the flaky soft fish like I normally did and the fries are smaller..no more steak fries... They were supper salty.. I couldn't eat them. It near closing time so I didn't go back. The shrimp was the only thing that tased delicious??. I have my husband his half and I told him it tasted different and once he finished he said.. the same thing I did. This was the only fish spot I liked.. ? but I'm done. And I didn't make it home.. I ate it while I was parked in my car..it as fresh..it as probably cooked too long because the fish was too crispy.. a little hard to be honest

Garrison’s doesn’t even list their phone number for Hageman location. You have to call Panama location to get it. The cod is the best fish in town but on two occasions they have run out at the Hageman location. That is just poor planning. Lastly. I went by Hageman location today and they were closed due to supposed labor shortage. When it comes to

Tried the new place in the NW. Young lady at the register was very friendly. Shrimp was delicious. Can’t wait to try the coconut shrimp! Cod was great. My only complaint is the Kens Tatar Sauce. I would expect a delicious tartar sauce to go with the delicious fish…oh, and and a lemon. I will recommend to friends

Food is outstanding and the price is cheap for a great tasty delicious fried sea foods in Bakersfield. I don't mind paying a little bit more. In my opinion the pricing is under value for a great tasty food.

Visited Garrison’s twice during the month of December, both times were for take out (to-go) orders. On the first visit ordered cod fish and chips also had fried shrimp. The baskets included larger steak fries with seasoned salt. These were all good but not great. Fish products were a commercially processed product but was cook well and served hot. Fries were also a previously frozen product and could have used an additional minute or 2 In the fryer as the had that frozen fry under cooked texture in the middle. On the second visit, we ordered similar items Cod fish, shrimp, fries but also added fried clams. Again everything was good but not great. The big negative on this visit was that they neglected to include and tarter or cocktail sauce. I would visit again but hope they improve

Had to try them to see if their battered fish was as good as it looked in pictures. The 2 nice size piecies of flakey cod were very crisp and not loaded in grease. The breaded catfish was also a good size pieces. Each meal came very hot and crisp. French fries were even crispy. Lunch came with hush puppys, fries, cole slaw, soda for $13. Will be back soon to start sampling their large selection of seafood meals. Place is small and clean. Easy parking.

Great seafood, nice little fish and chips and joint. Catfish is great and chowder is full of seafood.

Had really high hopes for this place. Catfish was not cooked through. The middle was slimy. Clam strips seemed more like whole clams, which is a good thing. Big serving. I ate, well, tried to eat 6 pieces. 5 were spit out because they were like chewing rubber. I gave up. Cole slaw didn't taste like it was dressed. Hush puppies were excellent. Waste of 25 bucks...
