Sensational service at Grandma's Tamales restaurant ?

The portions were really generous. I had a veggie burrito and chicken tamale and they were delicious. The champurrado was lovely and rich. Would love to treat myself to this place again.

The world best tamales I have driven over 250 mile just for there tamales and rice everything you ordered from Grandma's you will taste a bite of tender love and care and also a level of great tasting flavors with every bite. The cheese jalapeño tamale is not to ne missed when in Bakersfield! As a vegetarian, I loved this dish as well as the chile rellenos we ordered the next night.
They hand press the corn tortillas right in front of you.

Not Just Another Mexican Restaurant, but a Home away From Home! Ypu Order at the Counter like a Fast Food Restaurant and They Will Call Your Number when Ready a Full Bar is Also offered and Television that was Playing Spanish Videos,The Menu Had a Nice Selection and As Usual I Ordered my Go to, a Bowl of Menudo with Pata for a Couple of Bucks More. They also have a daily special, and on Tuesday, it was a nice order of Taquitos choice of chicken or beef, and I am a true carnivore ,so beef it is! And They Did Not Disappoint 3 per order topped with shredded lettuce Mexican cheese piled high and Salsa to Compliment the Order. This could be a meal in itself and for $4.95, definitely a bargain. Now my Main Course, if you Will the Menudo was lacking a little spiceyness and Flavor ,the traditional fresh condiments were offered to complement the bowl and on the Plus Side Homemade Tortillas were given(3) at no Extra Charge and Were Hot and Delicious. Very Clean Restaurant and the AC was at a Nice 76° if I had to guess, and it was 110° the day I visited. i was very appreciative! With plenty of parking ...i Will Be Back and Grandma's Restaurant is worthy of one of "Bakos Best" 4 out of 5 stars ? across the Board. Yummy Regards Coach P

Ordered two veggie burritos, tostado salad, and an enchilado plate (w/ flour tortilla and no meat). All vegetarian. Everything was good, including the hot sauce ? Staff was super friendly and made sure we were accomodated ? Interior decor was also well placed, and the restaurant was neat.
