Went the other day. The Lady I’m guessing was the owner, was a junk yard dog. Mean. Took the family, the lady asked the kids what they wanted to drink. They didnt hear her and she kinda got mad at them! She raised her voice. Food was not good. The chili tasted like it was a week old. Made your boy sick not Gonna lie. It was a rough night. I could deal with the junk food, but the attitude and bad service? Come on.

Very cute classic diner! This place feels like every diner should and like it has a long history with the city. Its cozy, the waitresses are nice, but the wait is pretty long! Try to enjoy the time by chatting with your neighbor!

Sadly, the owner needs to learn training skills; the way she spoke to her cook and coworker Gloria, and talked about them in a small place, made it really hard to love the experience of a small diner. I wanted to say something, but I didn’t want to make it worse for her employee. The burgers were good, but the experience was unpleasant.

The hamburger meat was definitely the packaged uniformed patty you get from a low quality supplier. If you want to know how it felt to step into a diner in the 50’s and be discriminated against well here’s your opportunity the owner Frances is probably thee rudest person to own a business here in Bakersfield and the pie was dry I wouldn’t waste my money here

Best place in the whole area, super kind staff, historical spot in Bakersfield.
My friend and I came from Italy and we unexpectedly found this spectacular diner by chance, on our road trip to Los Angles.
Here, we met very wonderful people in a cozy and informal place.
The food here is spectacular and with the atmosphere that Bakersfield’s citizens create, you will have the best meal of your life.

It’s not something we can explain, you need to feel it.

Don’t forget to try the peanut butter pie.

Always a delight to split a burger and salad with goodies with my wife. A slight change in taste of the tomato base dressing but very good. Not sure about the $2 extra plate fee though.

We felt Francis the owner was rude. She kept interjecting in our private conversations. She’s horrible mean and belittling to Gloria. Gloria is one of the reasons we go there. We have heard they reuse the ham as well. We won’t be back!!

If me and my husband can give this restaurant and absolute zero we would we had terrible service from the owner she refused to give what we wanted and when she messed up my order she just scraped off the cheese and try to give me the same Burger back did not want to make it fresh and refused to give my husband a double cheeseburger and after that she proceeded to dump all the sauce with her fingers onto my husband's Burger without my husband's consent and the owner was extremely rude to me and my husband worst experience I ever had in Bakersfield
