We stopped in for breakfast and had their meat lovers and California omelets. The food was good and staff was friendly. A great place to stop if you’re in the Bakersfield area.

Nice little place just off the highway 99 south of Bakersfield. Easy off, easy on. Fast, friendly service and a clean place. Good French toast, good eggs, the bacon was a little tough, but tasty. Comfy booths and plenty of parking

Just had the worst 8oz sirloin steak ever. No flavor, ordered med rare closer to well. 1 1/2 oz not even chewable! Shame used to be a good place.

So happy we decided to eat closer instead of going into Bakersfield. We're just passing through, but highly recommend this place for breakfast! The morning regulars add to the small town atmosphere and our waitress was on her game! The bacon was thick and not normal restaurant bacon. The French toast was just the right balance of sweet and savory, and the biscuits and gravy were massive! My wife ordered two against the suggestion of our waitress and barely ate one. Try it all out! We got there shortly before 7 expecting them to be open. Yelp has the hours set as 530, but they don't open until 7.

Don't come here if you are looking for fancy, trendy or new. This place serves good old fashioned comfort food at reasonable prices. Generous portions. I had the daily special chile verde omelet. Very tasty. Just wish they were open for supper. BTW- I used to come here about 60 years ago when it was called "Rae's". New owners now but still good food. I do miss Rae. She'd have to be over 100 y.o. is still alive.

First time here for breakfast! Great diner food, huge portions, good prices, and friendly service. Not in the middle of town so not as busy as Spencer's or 24th Street Cafe. Worth the extra couple of miles to avoid the crowd and get great food. We will for sure go back!

This place has the best food in Bakersfield. I've been going here since I was a kid. Now I have my kids begging to go eat there all of the time. The service is really excellent. The food has great flavor and it is not too expensive for the whole family.
Ordered their Cobb salad, it's ok. The staff here is pretty nice and welcoming. Price is cheap

I love restaurants that have the old school diner feeling. One day when I was driving north to Sacramento from Los Angeles. I saw this big sign reading harvest steakhouse. Now I'm a regular! They open at 7AM and when I'm in the area I always stop for my traditional bacon and eggs sourdough with a side of avocado. They really know how to take care of you here!
